Because if he did that he would start being paid by Spurs as of yesterday so would not be losing out on anything.
And if he has not signed officially with Spurs until his Saints deal expires then he could slip over taking the dog for a walk tomorrow, tear his ACL and Spurs wouldn't go near him.
I think it very likely indeed that the club and Forster agreed to cancel his contract with us early (as it benefits both him and the club) and he has officially signed with Spurs as of yesterday.
I would be very surprised indeed in Spurs would announce any signing on their o/s when it hasn't actually happened. If this was the case they would be saying he will sign when his current deal expired but there was no mention of that. | |
