Really? SR spent £160m to get us relegated and our incomes have been Championship for two of the past 3 seasons.
The club is around 1/4 billion in debt so, at worst not losing money, may be a trifle optimistic. |

Next season isn't our last year of parachute payments.
Do you really want us to go up?!?! Baring Scienza we haven't got a single player who is anywhere near PL level.
To stay up we would need to bring in a whole new squad of players and we won't have the funds to do this and SR don't have the football intelligence to do this. It would be another season of trying to reach double figures of points and I don't think many fans could stomach this.
If we stay in this division at least we will win some games next season and the league table shows that teams who do not have parachute payments can still be very competitive. [Post edited 27 Jan 10:40]

I don't think what you've googled is accurate. You don't sign a player for over £20m and pay him only 7.5k in wages. His agent would be sacked for agreeing to that. |

I think if he had managed us in the PL he could have given Selles' 11% record a run for its money. I'm still not convinced that Eckert isn't actually just Selles wearing a mask. |

I said our keeper was poor but other than that we have good players for this level.
"you could see from results last year how weak this squad is" Yes, in the PL!!! We aint in that league anymore. Most teams in this league have assembled their entire squads for a few million in total!
Manning is decent at this level, Roerslev has around 100 PL appearances, Downs was great when we got promoted, any club in this league would take Charles or Jander, THB has played for England, Edwards was great in this league last year, Stephens has hundreds of PL appearances to his name. This lot are miles away from being the weakest players in the league.
Can you really not see that the biggest problem is that we have a manager who doesn't have the first clue what he's doing? It's like watching an episode of that old Ch4 show Faking It. |

Are people still trotting out the old 'those badly behaving kids are really letting the supply teacher down' argument?
Other than a very poor keeper we have a squad that any other manager in the league would swap theirs for in a second. Fans seem oblivious to just how poor the standard is in this league.
The reason we are where we are is appointing utterly crap managers. The Belgian Ginger Computer game nerd didn't have a clue and Ruben Selles MkII is just as bad.
Any experienced FL manager would get us doing far better. I'd be 100% certain that we could have even appointed Warnock in the Summer and would have made the playoffs. |
