So now we learn that SR offered the manager's job to Enzo Maresca. He has only been a manager once and he failed. From wiki:
"Despite a team including former international stars such as Gianluigi Buffon and Franco Vázquez, Maresca failed in leading Parma into the promotion spots, being eventually dismissed on 23 November 2021."
That's the total of his managerial experience. Does any of this sound familiar? Surely SR should have learned from the failed appointments of Jones and Selles. Appointing a man with little to no experience, particularly in the relevant league is inviting disaster.
If the news had been that they offered the job to Graham Potter and he turned it down, that would show some learning. This shows that they are not learning and are just jumping from one wacky idea to the next. I have no confidence in the way that they are running the club. They don't know what they are doing and if they get the managerial appointment right, it will be more by luck than judgement. |  |
