Record Breaking Day 15:29 - Aug 29 with 878 viewsSaintNick

Thanks to all of you who come on here, in terms of page hits this has been the best month since January 2018, the Virgil Van Dijk departure bringing in a lot of Liverpool fans, back then the forum was the biggest % of hits, now the News section has grown greatly..

With 1/2 days to go yet it could well be amongst the 4-5 biggest months since 2016/17

The sales always attract a crowd and this must be the most first team players we've ever sold in a single transfer window.

Poll: How many Pompey fans post on here, pretending to be Saints fans?

Shows the quality of the squad we had last season, if we had gone down in 2018, we would have been lucky to get £30 million for the lot.

And it shows just how bad Ralph, Mad Nate and Selles were, the players we had last year we should never have gone down

Tadic was £11 million when he went to Ajax, Gabbiadini went for £10 million. Cedric was worth perhaps £8 million, Hojbjerg was signed for £12 million and in 2017/18 was in and out of the team for the past two seasons so his value had probably dropped.

Bertrand was probably valued at £18 m, Romeu has never been valued at above £10 million, Ward Prowse is a little bit more difficult, he was in the starting XI only 20 times, plus 10 as sub and he was an unused sub on 7 occasions including the penultimate game at Swansea, his value would have been around £10 million at that time.

The fact is that no one was really buying, only Tadic was in real demand, Gabbiadini wanted away, that season he started just 11 games, came on 17 times and was an unused sub on 10 occasions, scoring just 5 Premier League goals.

So for those players total value around about £75-80 million tops, potentially less as no one was offering anything for Bertrand or he would have been off

So yes a little bit more than £30 million, but as I said no one was banging at the door for them
