Had Pawson sent off Konate, which everyone agrees he should have done, he’d have run the risk of Klopp foaming at the mouth and going off on one. It’s far easier to allow Klopp to sub him straight after. Also 10 v 10 would have meant a possible dour 0-0 and we can’t have that for all those fans across the world tuning into their favourite TV programme.
