Whilst we shop around at the basement level trying to unearth the next best thing to sell on at a profit we will always be at the wrong end of the PL or worse.
Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton and Fulham who imo are smaller clubs than us are streets ahead at this moment.
If they can do it why can’t we?
Anyway I’m off out on the piss.

Since then we have taken expensive punts on Boufal, Gabbadini, Lemina, Hoedt, Carrillo, Gunn, Elynousis, Vestguard , Dnepo, Adams, Salisu, Diallo, Baz, Bella-Kotcha, Onacha,charles and Sulemana that we havent even got our money back on - let alone make a killing.
Add into the likes of Larios, Edozie and Derek Abu and Zach Awe (theres to many of these cheap punts to list) - that never work out.
And heres what we t least got our money back on - Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, Ings, Tino, Lavia.
Pretty grim reading and it shows the process is flawed. | |

Whilst I agree with most on your list and I dread to think how much it comes to I’d argue that Adams and Gabbadini were both good buys for us - not necessarily the level as the likes of Mane and Van Dijk levels but still did good job for us - and obviously we didn’t sell them for huge profits.
As with any club our size and budgets you are only 2 or 3 bad transfer windows from being in the shit - we were lucky to last as long as we did ( but financially we are still paying for it now) |  | | |
