To be fair, he is the main reason Pompey fans always get talked about by TV commentators. They focussed the TV cameras more on him today than they did the Pompey manager. Before he turned up in the late 70s, after his family had moved down to Petersfield from London, nobody ever talked about Pompey fans or Fratton Park's 'special' atmosphere, which wasn't very good. He goes spare at the fans around him if they stop singing. He's like a sergeant major with them.
