Yes, the referee for our game was Kevin Friend and we nearly always win when he's the ref. He was the ref when we won 4-0 at Fratton Park this season as well as when we won 2-0 at Brighton and when we beat Spurs 2-1 last season. He was also the referee when we beat Norwich at St Mary's earlier in the season.
We've won 5 of the last 6 games he's refereed us in and only lost 1 out of the 10 over the last 3 years. In fact, if we always got as many points per game as we do when Kevin Friend referees our games, we'd be in the Champions League.
Pompey fans must hate him. He's only refereed them twice: the first time, he controversially sent off David Norris and they lost 0-1 at home to West Ham from a penalty, the season they got relegated from the Championship, and the second time they lost 0-4 to us. [Post edited 20 Jun 2020 11:02]
