I often wonder if it was an incident when he was at a Tranmere game that triggered Dean's hatred of Southampton. Perhaps at one of the cup games in 2001 and 2002 he had a run-in with some Saints fans. Although he is so arrogant that it might have just been something Saints' players or fans said to him in the past.
We are not the only team he dislikes. He also has it in for Arsenal, perhaps for similar reasons. |  |
