Looking at that list, I can see Shane Long joining Kelvin Davis on the Saints coaching staff in a few years' time when he stops playing.
We need to wait and see how Armstrong and Broja turn out but I am optimistic that they will prove good signings. Tella also looks very promising. [Post edited 10 Aug 2021 12:06]

On paper that looks impressive, but if we look at the stats, firstly Rodrigiuez was injured for the whole of 2014/15 so we hardly had 4 strikers, he played 12 games in 2015/16 and only after Pelle & Mane had left did he get back to being a regular with 24 in 16/17.
Secondly Mane, Long & Pelle came in after we had sold Lambert & Lallana for roughly the same amount,
Lastly when you say there is a drop off in quality, back in 2014, one of the strikers was out lfor the season, another in Shane Long wasnt exactly greeted as a goalscoring hero and no one had heard of Mane or Pelle, both got a lot of stick in both their seasons here.
Lets just wait and see what the latest crop bring this year, give them a chance before we write them off |  |

Mane was well known when we signed him. Pelle was the managers choice and a proven score in the dutch leageus.
You back up my point when you say Rodrigiuez only played after Pelle and Mane moved on. He was a quality 3rd striker.
Give me 2015 version of Shane long over the current one any day. He wasnt good enough for the championship last season. | |
