I have a feeling the “ticket tax” was rather higher under Cortese, who I think was responsible for introducing this….
At the risk of being a nerdy accountant, I believe the “ticket tax” may be exempt from VAT, so the club would actually make more money by dropping the ticket price but increasing the processing charge, at the expense of the Treasury. |  |
