No one was calling him any names , Perraud is a solid left back, who gives 100%, but he is not a wing back he is a defender first and foremost and lacks the engine to get up and down for 90 minutes, nothing wrong with that, but his style doesnt suit our style not just now but going back the last decade with the likes of Ryan Bertrand, Tino Livramento, Kyle Walker Peters etc wing backs rather than defenders.
The fact is this is the way we are going to play and we have to get in the players who can play it, that is a fact of life in football, teams change managers and change playing styles and players dont fit it.
