I always felt that Alcaraz could be good for us but for whatever reason he is not favoured by the current management team. Even though they do not see him as having a place in this team I am struggling to see the point of taking this other player from Flamengo. |  | | |

Alcaraz was one of our best players in the pre-season and MOTM v Lazio.
Part of the transfer policy seems to be to sign unproven youngsters from Brazil and send them to Goztepe. They wouldn't get work permits to play in this country.
If it was about what's best for Southampton this season, a proven international player would have been a better player swap in the transfer deal with Flamengo than a player who's just made a few sub appearances. [Post edited 23 Aug 2024 21:42]
