The fact is it has - They had an established premiership team and turned it in to a bottom end champion ship team, while banking a healthy profit. Largely by selling assets that were all ready here. Who in the current squad would get in the team before Sports republic took over. | Southampton V Hull City The Verdict on 12:35 - Jan 19 with 660 views | felly1 | We're heading for a relegation battle by the look of it. People keep saying to me "no way , there's three worse teams than Saints" On paper , yes. In reality we are not a team. We're a collection of disinterested , lightweight chancers that were brought in to make the Clowns a tidy profit. Other sides have a strong spine , physically strong and fit and are organised....we are none of these things. If things don't change we'll be in L1 within the next 3 years.

We will be in League 1 next season, never mind three years.

I hope anyone thinking there are currently 3 teams worse than us, are not using the the table as of today to make their point. If you take SW out and insert the Skates you have 2 teams (Oxford and Norwich) who have recently given us the bum's rush and a 3rd who may well do the same to us on Sunday. Like you I would love to think we are better than them if only "on paper"...BUT Forget paper, the game is played on grass...and on grass we utter Gladys Knight.

Once gone is gone, if you want to change the future you have to learn from the past but not keep using it as a yardtick to beat up when things are going well. Ironically virtually all those players you mention got stick during their time at the club, I would say that Livramento was the only one not to get lambasted on social media and the only one to actually go on to greater things after leaving. Stuart Armstrong had a good season, but his legs had gone, hence he wasn't retained for the Premier League, Romeu was replaced by Lavia and Broja with 6 & Adams with 7 got 13 goals between them in the season Sport Republic arrived.
