The main thing is that it is a MINIMUM sentence, but even then he'll only be in his 40's when he comes out so still a life ahead of him unlike the poor lad he killed who actually had a bright future ahead of him

Firmly agree on this, I suspect that if you had a referendum on bringing it back it would get voted in, the issue is with all the do gooders and MP's who have not got the balls to get it sorted.
I firmly believe that people like Lee Rigbys killer, Peter Sutcliff, Rudakubana, Vickrum Digwa and others where there is clear evidence to prove that they killed in cold blood this scum should not be shown the light of day and should dangle on the end of a rope and then booted into an unmarked grave. |  |

The trouble with that is you might get the wrong guy and then it’s too late to do anything about it.
It’s also a bit too Old Testament for my liking.
