Game was too boring to be bothered to comment on.
Look forward to the Everton game with Stephens, Manning, Smallbone and AA.

I would rate this as one of our best performances this season There were definite signs that the "style" is being tweaked and is looking like it could produce results Had we got a point no one could have said we didn't deserve it
RM has shown that he is a coach who has passion for his team, gets into the game like a fan and cares just as we do.
His booking came after AL was fouled but the ref ignored it and then within seconds he gave City a free kick for nothing challenge
Hopefully off the back of this we can win the next two

Well we played pretty good considering the opposition, would of taken 1 nil at the start but have to give the lads credit the way we hung in there wish we could of got lucky but that’s football. All in all something to build on for the next game and who knows maybe just maybe we might just turn it around.COYR

We looked pretty solid. Rode our luck but result was fair. Not a win but not the huge score that was playing on a lot of our minds.
Thought the subs all made sense. Jack Stephens on balance earned his place. Ramsdale earned his money.
Something to build on.

What a result!
Not many teams will play at City and come away with a 1 nil defeat.
Our players confidence will be sky high knowing we can be defeated without being humiliated. Certainly, something to work on.
Could be a turning point in the season.

The defence was the best this season, even defensive midfield was more solid and lallana was excellent but final third is still too lightweight to trouble most PL defences.
Overall great improvement.

I dunno, a whole lot of "meh" for me. We should have lost by more, but defended gamely. (Ramsdale's got some good hands!) Still, it felt like a microcosm of this season: We lack quality, sometimes claw our way into games; but no one can put the ball in the net. The whole season has been and will be like this. Our return to the Championship can't come soon enough.

Ratings on Manning are based on perception not performance, he had a pretty good game today!

Block8, you are correct that most people's ratings are based on their perception of a player and not his actual performance. I am no different because I always give Stephens a low score.
This does appear to benefit some non-performers, how did Armstrong merit a 5.9 when he only played 45 minutes, got booked for his first tackle, didn't have a single shot on target and did nothing of note. Unfortunately RM doesn't appear to take any notice of our scores and continues to play his favourites, hence I_would's wonderfully apt comment regarding the team against Everton.

Trouble is we always raise our game for the Arsenal's and Man City's and go back to mediocre against the teams we should be beating.
If Bednarek had attacked the ball, instead of trying to wrestle Haaland, he could probably have cleared it.
If Archer had squared to Dibbling, who was in acres of space, he would have had a much better chance of scoring.
Premiership level decision making!
