It's probably a different fan base - the season ticket holders are probably in the main a bit more weathered in having seen it all before. The Arsenal game went to a general sale so the 'event' fans turned up ready to have a 'big' night out.
The home West Brom Semi Final in the playoffs was similar - completely different from a normal West Brom game in the regular season.
It would take a lot of effort for a club the size of Saints with relative little history of success in football competitions to convert big event fans into regular season ticket holders. The best place to start would be an organised effort to get the Northam wall more rowdy. Build from there. |

From my experience in the past it's definitely far easier and more stable to use a pc or laptop than a phone to book wembley tickets.
I just went on there and selected some tickets, went through the booking procedure with no problems. It's just volume of people on there that causes a lot of the issues. Quite often people will select seats and then change their minds so seats often pop on and off.
There still seem to be a lot of tickets available and I'm sure more will be released.
Having sat in the top deck before, because if the design the view is great, although a bit unnerving if you don't like heights and sit in the first row. |

I would have thought these would be snapped up but I guess there are still a lot of games for people to attend. |

Thanks for the analysis. Really interesting post.
With IT having to drop points for us to catch up, the goal difference should narrow if we are going to end on the same points. If we win 2 games by 2-0 and they lose two games by 2-0 then we gain 8gd just through those games alone. As we have seen we can often win games by a greater margin than 2 goals.
Given the top 8's form over last 5 or 10 games, in my head if we win all our last 6 games then we have a possible shot at second place, anything less and we will probably be in the playoffs.
The perfect mustn't be the enemy of the good tho. Not finishing second but finishing in the play offs is still a fantastic performance given where we were in November.
