Listened on Radio Solent. Second best throughout in a poor scrappy game. Substitutes a bit strange again. Individual errors all over the place again. Bournemouth, Everton and Saints to go down I think after today's results.

Poor, scrappy game. Very annoying to lose that one. I thought we were generally OK defensively, helped by the performances of JWP and Lavia in front of the center. Given the risk of a silly goal slipping in, we needed - and will need in the coming weeks - more presence and cutting edge high up the field. Need more from Stuey and Moi in that regard. We still have to work out how to get the best out of the new guys up front. Onwards and upwards, let’s hope. At least the managerial situation is sorted for now …

Not terrible, not great. Looked a nervy game from both sides. Leeds probably just about deserved the win.

Need to work out how to get the best out of a 6'7" striker. Having him roaming the wings probably isn't it.

As I feared, any escape, if even possible, is going to be slow and painful.

Bednarek head up his arse again instead of trying to clear the ball let’s it just go right by him, really we did not look like scoring and still not convinced about the two new guy’s up front, although they got very little service to be honest.
Still can’t see how Elyounoussi gets to start each game over other choices and Walcott is definitely passed his sale by date for sure. This was a 6 pointer and we played as though they would just give us the points, not looking good again but still have time but it’s running out of it.

Leeds are a terrible side; the trouble is we are worse. We may flatter to deceive but unless we have more than our fair share of luck- like we did against Chelsea - there is no way we are going to avoid the drop because we simply don’t have the class.
Were we as committed as we were last week? Didn't look like it but then Leeds were much more in our faces than Chelsea, not so many prima donnas trying to be pretty. And therein lies at least one of our problems: if we had top skills we could waltz our way out of trouble. But without them we have to mix it and yet we don’t seem to have that mindset. In other words, we are screwed.
The next PL home game v Leicester will be interesting…

Feels like we completely played into their hands.
We seemed to sit too deep and the players didn't act as a unit when trying to transition the play.
It was frustrating to watch.
Leeds persistently swamped our attacks and we didn't have enough creativity to stretch Leeds. Players took too long to move the ball about, and the hesitancy in our play, taking that extra fraction to choose a pass or take a shot killed us.
2 shots on target all game was appalling. Where were the crosses?!?
Saying that, Walcott and ABK should have scored.

For such a young team, we lack pace, and energy.
You cant really blame the manager for that. Leeds were bang average, and a pressing aggression would have had them feeling the pressure, but we played into their hands.
I feel Bazuna needs a rest, he's just struggling to dominate his box, and the results feel like they are affecting his confidence, not sure id Mcarthy is available, but I think even Willy now.
Lavia looked good, but he was doing too much on his own. At one point Tall Paul was our furthest forward player and he was just outside our box. He's way off PL pace, but thats to be expected.
I think RS tried to set us up to not lose, and instead played into their hands.
KWPlooked bright.
We all know we are the poorest team in the league, and we are where we should be. All you can do it trying build some togetherness and hope we can pull off half a dozen shock wins!
RS is the man to do that.
But I think we will go down. The only chink is that theres a lot of dross down there with us

Oh dear, honeymoon over? To be honest I feel sorry for all the managers this year trying to get a tune out of this lot, other than Latvia and JWP it was a disappointing performance. We just don't create hardly anything in open play, so we rely on set pieces, that's about all we've got.

Bednarek always seems to be at the centre of a catastrophe, at least Ralph shipped him out.....

Ugh - so much to say about this game but feel like I am screaming into the wind. It was simple, no passion, wrong tactics and some wrong players started. Also, the same old story of not taking our chances and we can't score from open play. Last time in the league was before the world cup break I believe. UGH

Look at our 11 players on the pitch at the moment we let in that dreadful goal then you have to say 5 (or 6 if you include the keeper) are simply not good enough to keep us up. That must be at least 10 games that could or even should have been draws that have been lost. Just 4 or 5 of those drawn would have us still in the pack.

There is still hope, I suppose. We have lost some 'must-wins' this season and even won a couple but Leicester is now is LITERALLY a 'must-win'. Lose it and bar a miracle at Manure we will trudge off at Old Traffic tailed-off.

On a brighter note did anyone else do a nice little wave to Jacob Murphy as he walked off the Wembley pitch just now? I certainly did!!

American Saint - the goal v Wolves was from open play and the first at Everton...

SanMarco - Thanks for the reminder - it just seems so long ago. We can't seem to string the critical passes together.
