Tonda may be guilty of the spying but I totally agree that heads should roll for the 'response' if we flatter it by calling it that. The feeble whimper maybe. I think the silence maybe because they know that theyve got nothing to tell us that will reflect well on themselves. |

I don't think a high percentage of Saints fans think it was fair. I've seen very few specifically saying that expulsion was a fair result. I think the divide is between those still fighting a doomed battle against the unfairness and those who are saying that it's over and we have to move on.
Yes we were shafted and we've got Gibbon , Sky, EFL etc to shout at. If we do have anger to spare it should probably be directed at those in the club responsible for our strategy once the news broke on that Thursday. Gibbon had a strategy and it worked (until about 5.30pm on Saturday anyway) while we were like rabbits in the headlights. The main reason that some of our fans ended up thinking we got what we deserved is because for days on end that was the only narrative in town. We weren't even told just how guilty we were until the day of the appeal so no wonder we were floundering. Many had convinced themselves that Salt was filming seagulls half a mile away from the training, while others hoped for the lone wolf idea. Reading that Tonda was guilty as charged on appeal day was tough to take. The club had no good reason to keep that quiet - our mindset now if we'd known the exact truth from the start would be different.
We have lots to be angry about but the only anger with any productive point now needs to be directed towards the guilty people at our club. Gibbon and his Sky and EFL pals can go to hell. |

I bet Gibbon regrets it now though. He could have kept quiet (hoping to win the semi) and 'discovered' the spying around now. An extortionate lawsuit with every chance of success would have followed. Instead in orchestrating the 'expulsion' and 're-instatement' narrative he put all his eggs in the one basket of winning at Wembley - Olly Mcburnie sat on that basket and the eggs are not even good for an omelette now. Tough luck Stevie boy!!!! |

Isnt the trouble though that every opposition muppet will be talking like this idiot skate? And half the media and social media talking heads. Anyone with a brain knows we would have come 4th anyway but sadly that brain then asks why in the feck was he doing it then? That is the taint that will stick with him - and us if we keep him. Why did he deliberately break the rules if there was no benefit? The answer is not obvious to your average observer, whether thry are Guardian columnists, Sky talking heads or moronic skates who've got nothing better to do than pollute the TUI.
The answer is that Tonda's desire to win led him to do something very stupid on more than one occasion. We want to keep that will to win but I fear the rest of it will prove too much. He might even get more than a year. |

Not the best moral argument but interesting point. The change in mood is I reckon down to the fact that as the dust settles its obvious that Tonda's crimes were not death penalty serious and the EFL-Sky-Mboro Axis wbo persuaded people they were were talking sh1te.
I see the temptation of saying feck the lot of them let's keep Tonda. Its not a debate we need to have though because he wiil be sacked after he is suspended. Unless Tonda was pressured from above to do what he did then he will carry the can whether we like it or not. |

Just how bad was what Tonda did? An important question which got lost in the orchestrated rush to judgment created by the EFL-Mboro Axis ably assisted by Sky and all the rest. Line up crimes from parking on a double yellow line all the way up to genocide and it is clear that Tonda's crimes moved rapidly up the scale from a semi-amusing and stupid jape deserving of a fine to something meriting the death penalty..
Everyone knows that cheating goes on the wbole time. Gibbon and all the rest of the hypocrites as paragons of virtue - yeah of course. I hope that as the dust settles a more measured view of how serious Tonda's crimes really were is properly established. The one remaining thing I'm angry about is how the Saints allowed a medium crime to become a dealth penalty offence in just a few days. |

The fan base is therefore the most forgiving in history. He got us chucked out of a play off final we would have won. All our anger at the media, Mboro and the EFL, however justified, does not change the fact that Tonda chose to cheat with catastrophic consequences. He may be able to rebuild his career after he's served his ban but any future achievements here would be forever tainted. And surely we're not that forgiving? I know I'm not and I would think that the majority of supporters would agree with me in that. It's a great shame but Tonda brought this on himself and us. |

New rules yes, but they forgot to set out what the penalties were and didnt allow for play offs. This uncertainty allowed Gibbon to grab the agenda and press for a sanction that no one took seriously at the start. The only good thing about the extreme harshness of the sanctions on Saints is that the FA don't have to address any leniency issues. They will surely concentrate on the individuals. Tonda will get a year long ban. We weren't fined by the EFL so the FA might earn themselves some cash by correcting that.
Surely if Tonda is sacked for gross misconduct his contract will expire there and then? |

Ifonly is right on Wrexham. Saints would have needed to be docked points retospectively so they sank below Wrexham. That didnt happen so 7th place foes not a play off place make. It will next season though. |

Started watching Hull vs losers but got too angry with the c*nt of a commentator and the other piece of sh1t beside him. Evidently Saints presense in the final became 'untenable' ' - they then flashed to Gibsh1t and the cry baby. If our presence in the final became untenable it was due to Sky and the rest of the media scum + of course the Mboro-EFL Axis. Any outcome other than Hull promotion is what's now untenable. |

Why should we pay Tonda's salary for the year or more he serves his suspension? He has to go and will.
Given the extraordinary nature of the punishment someone in the Saints structure (Parsons maybe) also has to resign over the pathetic response to the crisis from the VERY START. Even given Tonda's stupid and cheating behaviour Saints expulsion wasn't inevitable from the start. A robust response (including legal) from the very start, even if it ultimately failed would have been better for the fans. Total honesty about what Tonda and co had actually done wouldalso have at least mitigated the shock of the verdict and taken the wind out of the EFL-Mbor axis sails. |

If Mboro do lose Gibson will be straight to the lawyers. Perhaps he can sue the Met Office for allowing it to be so hot today, or the Saints for making his manager cry with all that nasty business at St Mary's where, of course, they lost fair and square. Anyone think he would have the cheek to sue Saints because Mboro haven't had enough time to prepare? It wouldn't surprise me at all, and now I've thought of it I'm already worried. Expect more sh1te shovelled on Saints whoever wins.

Grumpy - I'm coping by endlessly posting on TUI about Mboro-EFL axis of evil and the such. Totally pointless and probably annoys the feck out of all of you wonderful TUI compadres but it makes me feel better - for a minutes anyway, then I have to post again. So maybe enjoying the sunshine and (please God I will start believing in you if it happens) a Hull win today is a healthier approach. |
