Jesus saves us...

Jesus is a lovely lad and I’m genuinely so excited for him to come down this weekend and to meet him. Nice positive story like this going into Saturday could certainly help matters.

AWARDS NIGHT CANCELLED
at 09:50 22 Mar 2018

Goodness me, I would happily pay the £65 just to see Russ call his mate Jeff and tell him the event’s been binned.

Only just noticed ‘carriages’ isn’t until 12pm. Crikey, no wonder it’s £65. That’s a 17 hour event.

There are members of staff/directors at the club who are most likely still a little embarrassed about openly arguing in front of Dale fans after a few too many drinks at last seasons event. Least now they can do it in an empty room.

VAR. Hit or Miss?
at 11:39 28 Jan 2018

Was at Anfield last night, and whilst the atmosphere wasn’t great anyway, it certainly wasn’t helped by the time taken for these VAR decisions. How on Earth there was only 4 added minutes in that first half is beyond me (though I should be thankful, as WBA would’ve probably got a 4th if that half went on any longer).

I have fond memories of him coming to my school. A very good man.

No, I would not.

My opinion here is that there are people who work at the football club that Dale fans should be proud of, and amongst all of this understandable negativity, we should all acknowledge one of them. I’ll go first.

Keith Hicks. Saw him every day I went to that club and he always looked busy, and mind my language, but I got the impression each time I spoke to him that he gave a s*it about that club. Also he’s got a great taste in music, which is a bonus.

I’d be lying if I said I care a great deal about the club anymore, but it’s rough coming on here and seeing people I’ve known for years genuinely upset with what’s happening currently. Always try and find some positivity folks.

I’m reluctant to criticise their twitter output as they still follow me. Wouldn’t want to lose a follower.

Meeting with the directors
at 14:09 18 Jan 2018

It got tiring and was putting a strain on me. That’s why I left it there. Unfortunately though I saw an email from a club official a couple of weeks ago that brazenly lied about the situation, and I’m now gathering my different emails and texts from the club about the issues we had, and we’ll see where we go.

I wish everyone the best of luck in raising issues with the club. Tough to do this sort of thing when it’s something that plays such a big (and largely positive) part in your life.

With regards to the announcer issue, the last correspondence I had with the club about it all was a phone call with Russ on September 25th (day before Blackpool away) in which I outlined the issues I felt needed addressing. I made some very genuine and serious allegations during what was around a 20 minute call, and was assured by Russ that he would have a “solution” for me within the week. I never heard back from him, and haven’t been back to Dale since.

If somebody does decide to mention the announcer debacle, I’d hold my breath for anything more than “it just didn’t work out”.

Crikey.

I haven’t been to a match since Blackpool away, but I saw the result again yesterday and thought I’d come on here and see what’s going on. I had no idea it was this bad. Can’t add anything constructive as I don’t know how Dale have been playing, but the fans really do deserve better from the club, both on and off the field. Hope the new year brings you some better fortune, Daleys!

makes a grown man cry

Merry Monk will always be the one that gets me down. Spent much of my youth in there with my dad and his mates, only for it to close almost as soon as I reached legal drinking age. What a pub.

Saw him in Wilbutts Lane Chippy once. Think it was around the time I was doing work experience at the club. Someone told me he was filming an advert nearby.

Twitter wars
at 10:28 24 Sep 2017

I see his tweets pop up on my timeline and it still doesn't sink in with me that he's representing the office of the president of the United States. He tweets as if he's still hosting The Apprentice. On a lighter note, I love that he alledgedly had his phone taken off him in the final day before the election, just incase he tweeted something insane. Wish they'd take it back off him.

I have to admit, I had to do a double-take when I saw that list. And that's from someone who likes this music!
