Bill Beaney still goes to home games, alas with walking chair.
Keith Smart played for North End School in Eastleigh. Then Eastleigh Schools.
Paul Bennett worked in the Community.
I have autographs of Bob Wakerley who played centre half, Ray Ames who played left wing or inside left.
Bob McCarthy played in that 7-0 defeat at Leeds.
Mickey Ellard was a full back.
And we all know about Bobby Stokes! |

Forster for me made couple of good saves.
Cedric looked still not fit, poor distribution. His worst game for us.
VVD didn't want to know tonight, his demeanour shows he is not committed.
Yoshida was always second best especially their third goal. As was against Arsenal. Just not Premier League.
Bertrand tried.
Davis is now really slow in play and in mind, Premier League is too much for him now. Lost his sharpness.
Lemina was really out of sorts, very poor, no vision, pushed off the ball easily, no creativity at all.
Romeu is not the Romeu from last season, looks sluggish, poor tackles and distribution. Poor.
Tadic, getting fed up with his tantrums when he gets fouled and feigns injury. He is lightweight.
Boufal, agree twists and turns but no real threat. Maybe living on 'his' goal against WBA.
Austin looked so frustrated and I can't blame him. No service at all. Tadic should be doing that.
Gabbi looked completely lost all second half playing midfield, not his position.
Redmond is just ordinary I'm afraid.
The display looked soulless which is worrying as the manager is responsible for the performance and the team he picks. |

Everton are in big trouble. Their players were arguing with each other. I can see them going down.
They made some bad decisions in the close season. Everton in the Championship? Surely not!......mmmm!!!
But take nothing away from Saints they passed the ball really well today. PEH was my MOTM.
Cedric played well. Charlie took his goals well. Injured his knee in the second half then went off. Hoedt looked assured, his best game. |
