I was always of the opinion the Manager needed to be English I wouldve made an exception for Wenger when he left Arsenal and I'd still have him in as part of the set up. The only candidate I can see at the moment who is English is Eddie Howe but something about him doesn't sit right at the moment, maybe in a few years. Only other's with a current record at higher level is Sean Dyche (who I am not averse to) or Gazza O'Neill (who I like a lot but way down on experience) So I think we will go with another Johnny Foreigner and I'd therefore make it one who has managed on these shores for a number of years. Klopp fits the bill to a tee (th) and would cause much Scouse meltdown. Pep would be unbelievable and I could never see it. Blimey... looks like Safegate is the only candidate for his own job!! (Though appointing Hasslew@nk another major flaw for him) |

Happy New Year? He must’ve been punched into December I put that one firmly down to John Fury. He was a tit in the build up and talking absolute bollox in the corner. As for the Ukraine fella spitting water over everyone at the end along with a cast of thousands in the ring…….. It’s gone as a sport hasn’t it? |

I thought it was the young Ginger Mitchell kid from Eastenders |

Made some key saves in key games But…. If he’d been a steady solid Championship keeper throughout the season then those games would not have become “key” It’s ratification of the D for me and a “thank you, goodbye, enjoy matchday at Scumford Fridge” |
| Forum Reply | What would you consider success to be this off-season? at 22:43 14 May 2024
Here’s a weird one…. A successful summer might actually mean Scotland doing average in the Euros and McDykes scoring four in three games. There’s far too many lazy clubs out there who’ll be quick to write out a cheque for say £4.5mill off the back of that without realising it’s £4mill too much A transfer for Eze be nice an all That aside I feel we need four pacey fit players, two up top please Get em in early and tuned into Marti’s coaching and then maybe a couple of decent loans at end of window We’ll see |
| Forum Reply | Departures in the development squad at 22:30 14 May 2024
Been some good loans Eze at Wycombe Lumley at Bristol Rovers Dieng at Donny I understand this “exposure to the men’s game” argument but to counter that what I don’t get is this….. Are we saying then the key is to sign these lads on at 16 and then simply place them at lower leagues to see how they fare as if we don’t they actually won’t progress at QPR? So what’s the point of having a Development Squad at all? What does that say about our coaches at the DS level that it’s beyond their wit to actually bring a player through, cradle to grave, within our own club??? Rayan is a big hope for me I sort of hope he DOESNT go out on loan and Marti deems him good enough to be eased in here and there making incremental steps up. Really think he’s got something about him Glad to see there’s a purge of the Acceptors of Failure throughout the club as well I think I’m warming to this Nourry chap but jury still very much out |

"I've just seen your ex-girlfriend who had the massive knockers --- she lives over near Heathrow airport now, near the young Offenders place" "Feltham?" "No....not since you and her split up..!" |

How many do you suggest these "pro-athletes" play then? I'm sure for £100k a week those at the top level would accept, ooooohhh I dunno, maybe a game every fortnight? You'll find old dinosaurs like me have ZERO truck with your statement, especially when these clubs that moan about "player burn out" then promptly whisk their little cash calves off on tours to Australia, the USA and the far East at every chance they get. Then of course you get these "pro-athletes" being exposed as serial drunk drivers, nightclubbers, class A users etc, etc, etc [Post edited 13 May 23:13]

Sexy Beast — the mini series prequel to the film. In Paramount+ Tamsin Crieg as Don Logan’s sister is utterly brilliant but the rest of it a bit hit n miss. I quite liked it. It’s not exactly family viewing and just about manages to avoid descending into a Guy Ritchie “right old cockney barrel of monkeys” guff. |

Yet another wasted we’ve made a millionaire This ‘kin club I tell ya…… You’ll unlikely ever hear of this fella again. Whoever signed him needs their balls wrapped in barbed wire |
| Forum Reply | We all love our music.... at 17:53 10 May 2024
I have total respect for anyone who makes music of any genre It’s something I’d loved to have done Those who play instruments to a “professional level” take my total respect to another level That would have been the pinnacle to me What attracts to certain bands etc? I don’t think you can put your finger on that but for me it’s gotta have a groove and drag you in. On your second question - as above I find it hard to dislike musicians but I’d shy away from certain genres like heavy rock, folk, thrash metal, euro pap and also Irish music as I’m sick to death of it!!! |

Sorba Thomas is a great shout. Always rated him but as you say probably bigger fish swimming around him and I suspect on a fair wedge. For probably about the tenth year in a row I am saying one of the pre-requisites for all of our targets needs to be - PACE! We lack it in so many areas. Also, enough of this bollox about players needing to have to have something wrong with them to be playing for us!! Sick of that. Get fit, pacey, robust players who can trap a ball, pass it and shoot at the rectangle thing with a big net behind it. A keeper that can catch and move faster than a stoned snail would also be nice. |

Hammersmith Town Hall a few days later was absolute carnage Can’t recall how I got hold of our tickets but whoever decided to give out free cans of Stella at that didn’t have their thinking head on. Christ they were halcyon days….. from the depths of darkness Ollie built us back So good |
