Frazer, Charles and Adams should have started.
Obviously Holgate and Smallbone too early.
Manning and Mara might make the next bench -but need to work very hard in training.*

(*Ask Mr Mowbray to attend one of our training sessions in the next two weeks to see who meets his criteria for hard work.)

Referee's idea of letting the game flow was giving us the advantage(?) 'play on' whilst our player was poleaxed due to reckless lunging tackle by a desperate clone Ranger (at least four times). I suspect there was no retrospective booking due to having the memory of a goldFISH. Gave him 1 point -for turning up. Hope the oFISHals get better. QPR have a very limited game plan, stop the opposition, try to break, the fact that it was close to coming off shows that Saints have much work to do. A ARmstrong 9 Bazuna Downes Charles (2 positions) KWP Bednarek all 8 Edozie S Armstrong and Fraser 7 Aribo Amo Ameyew Manning 6 Mara Stephens Alcaraz 5.
So far, not missing VAR but quality of refereeing in PL. Did I say this ref was CARP.

Glad Che got his eye in again, could be a saviour.

Otherwise, we need every bit of concentration in every department from these young charges to salvage something from this season -already. Saw a bit more steel in midfield with AMW reassuringly taking the Oriel booking. Definitely the biggest oversight to let OR go, JWP's got to relearn his midfield again, so his -and Salisu's -pinpoint passes need to find mobile and proactive team mates rather than (reactive) statues.

Bad enough that the selection from ‘two for each position’ were the wrong ones, and that we ended up with too many lightweights starting, with debutants already carrying established stand ins.
As many have said, what’s the point of a ‘strong bench’ if there’s no urgency to get the right replacements on.
WTF have Forster, Bednarek, Walker -Peters, Stuart Armstrong and even Diallo done wrong pre season FFS?
Rather than square pegs round holes why not the old fashioned if you’re good enough you’re playing, which might leave only one of Bednarek or Salisu with Livramento and KWP right side, and accommodate best player (Stuart Armstrong) at all costs.
Experiment over, or admit you’re beaten RH, and get some help in -either for the remainder of the season, or perhaps just to organise the second half’s .

Whilst I hate VAR -and we're better off without it -why was it not employed properly?
Penalty needed clarification to say the least. Corner kicks (one each) wrong, so negates it's use here.
Anyone else see Che Adams booking after their lad poleaxed Nathan Redmond?
Similarly with Jan Bednarek.
The referee was poor, and seemed to be protecting /favouring the side from the metropolis!

The battle of the the have's and have nots?
One manager allowed to create the best squad in the world, the other barely allowed to make one or two additions to his team that could ensure safety. How far we have come? Has it ever been so?
A 'battling' performance with an inevitable outcome.
One day this club will manage to coincide an obviously shrewd manager with a shrewd board or owner -here's hoping.
Well done manager, team and fans, still believe we can take those NLY on Wednesday.

The match rating is clearly from a success starved saints fan.
Manager rating 10/10. Based on: Tactics. Line up. Substitution. Attitude. Commitment. Team work. Timing.
Last but not least: Honesty.

The other team gets a goal and I swear six of our players disappear.
Whilst Romeu and Yoshida were good replacements at the time, it is the managers job to tell them ALL to focus their sights and efforts upfield.

Still making the same mistakes, who else plays THREE static central defenders?

Try something else, at least we've had relative success with only two of these daleks lining up-our record victory -and better results with Danso as one of the three. It is never enough wishing for one of the musketeers to have a good game, he'll still tread on the toes or bump into of one of the others, as the other team continue to run into the void left by the other two.
Start with two, and learn to make it do!
I'm beginning to think this man is taking the bodily fluids as he changes every far king permutation except the central three.

Even against Fulham, we exposed our main shortcoming, playing someone up with that lone striker.
Would have been a good time to try, but then you can trust our bone headed board/committee that pick the team to put JWP in that role, even though he's an accomplished supplier to our invisible duo. Well taken goal James.
