I still maintain the title of this thread stands. I don’t care if Hull have beaten us twice this season. We were useless both times. If we were to play them at Wembley, I would expect us to beat them. |

It was bonkers to let Bree go to Charlton. We then spunked £5 million on Roerslev, who is utter shite. That money could have gone towards a decent striker. We could have played 4 at the back if we hadn’t let Bree go. Still, not too late to save the season. 6th place is anybody’s. |

A good day is getting even better. Did he really play 111 times for Saints???!!!???? |

I do agree, BUT How are the likes of Bournemouth any different? Any good player there is sold. It’s just that the £’s involved are rather larger. Doesn’t seem to stop their players giving it their all. I believe it stems from the manager and how good a man-manager he is. [Post edited 31 Jan 8:14]

I would suggest a Kieffer Moore hat-trick against Coventry this season trumps anything any of our strikers have done this season. We only looked like scoring against 10 men against them, and even then it took one of our CB's to score. Have you ever actually watched him play, Nick? He is exactly what we need, and have needed for 3 years. |

As you know, their Champions League games have a very high majority of locals watching them, who often don't get the chance to see Prem games, where the tourists take over. |

City fans always boo the Champions League anthem at the start of games; they despise UEFA. I think Liverpool tend to get more locals in for European games, whereas tourists snap up the tickets for their Prem games. All I know is it must be bloody expensive to regularly support a really successful team. It costs a fortune to follow Saints, and we’re shite. |

What would you do with yourself if he signed for us in the summer? |

Eckert is now saying "bits are moving forward". Whereas he usually says "ask Spors". Interesting change in stance. We still have a few loan spots available, so there may be some movement on that front. Particularly if they shift Armstrong, Aribo and Edozie out. I suspect permanent signings are unlikely. |

It's his birthday according to the socials. I do hope the club gave him a cake, as we wouldn't want him to do a Delgado and go missing for months on end.... |

Will Solak be turning up at games after he has sold most of his shares in the club? I rather doubt it. |

I don't think this season should be done. There is no reason why we can't go on a run of wins to get us in the top 6. |

Steve Grant was there. I walked to St. Mary’s with him on Sunday morning from the Premier Inn. He goes to pretty much every game TBF. |

Next year is the last year of the larger parachute payments. The following year sees a much reduced sum coming in. I agree that we are not currently anywhere near having a good enough team for the Prem, but then neither did Sunderland when they were being outplayed by Coventry and Sheffield United in the play-offs, and somehow beat both of them. |
