I do think that with the play-off final having VAR, Ipswich won't be able to get away with the sort of shithousery they displayed so potently when we played them at their place on Easter Monday.
That is not me being an advocate for VAR, BTW...... |

Ipswich finishing 3rd and Norwich finishing 6th would be very handy.

1. Their locals are bellends.
2. Re point 1, saw a group of half a dozen nippers outside the Cambrian Tap pub on St. Mary Street doing slit-throat signs at anybody who they thought might be English. This was before 11.00am. Dibble moved them on.
3. Then stood outside the same bar, a local decided to acquaint himself with our group. Was drinking a whole bottle of Sauvignon Blanc (a good drop as well) at midday.
4. I got sunburnt stood outside that bar.
5. I don't want to go back there in a hurry. Have seen us play there 4 times in 3 different stadiums, we have lost every single time. |

I agree with a lot of this, particularly re leaders.
We have never really replaced Oriol Romeu, I pin a lot of our downfall on him leaving 2 years ago and not being replaced.
These sorts of players aren't necessarily that expensive to buy, as they are often rather unsung.
Should definitely be a priority for the summer, as well as a striker who will put away simple chances. We should have scored over 100 goals this season already, somebody like Sczmodics would have had a field day playing for us this season. |

Few who saw it will forget the way he asked Ankersen a question at the calamitous Fans Forum a week before we sacked Nathan Jones, and then all pleased with himself, turned round and made sure that the cameras clocked his gurning face.
It's Twitter that drives a lot of this nonsense now; Blackmore thinks that people who have a lot of followers must be representative of the fanbase.
My fear is that he is not as wrong on this as I would like him to be. |

McCarthy for me.
Has more big-match experience and less likely to be fazed by the big games we are about to face.
Remember his performances for us towards the end of the 2017/18 season in big atmosphere games when we stayed up by the skin of our teeth. Boscombe at home, Swansea away, he was excellent. |

In the old days, the local press would refer to Nick or Clive or Comrade Perry, and they would say it how it is.
However, I think Blackmore is trying to take Solent down a more “wacky” road and involve those with a heavy presence on Twitter.

As a further point, I also think that quite a lot of our younger fans are relatively affluent.
A lot of them still live with parents and have quite a bit of disposable income.
You can tell just by looking at them that they wouldn't have the sense to know how to look after themselves if they had to.
It's those in their 30's and upwards who have moved out of their parents' homes who are struggling financially. |

I am not convinced that younger fans do want to make noise.
Well, some do. But mainly in the concourse it seems.
There is of course the option to sit on the seats within the safe standing areas, so sleep is still an option.
Besides which, I have been known to sleep while standing. It's quite the acquired skill...... |
