Franny was Southampton to the core. One point that should be added to the article was the Franny away day at Oldham 1993. Last day of the season, Oldham needing to win to stay up and Saints fans dressed as Benali - T-towels and moustaches. Benali coming on as sub in the second half after constant chanting was a moment to behold. 7 goals, a LeTiss hat trick, the fact we lost seemed immaterial. What a day!
