Was in there that night, got back from the game and there was a few of them in there being a bit noisy, they were kindly told to be quiet and one of our lot offered to buy them a drink. The pub was soon packed out with all the football crowd, they didn’t listen to the previous request of being quiet and were told there won’t be a third, they didn’t listen and a scene from the Wild West ensued, absolute carnage followed, pretty sure one of them spent some time in the General. |

These Lefties crack me up, they bang on as if the Blair years never happened! They were and are solely responsible for the mess the country is currently in, they pretty much bankrupted the country, but now just constantly moan about Austerity! If Blair had been more responsible instead of pushing his own agenda, we probably wouldn’t be where we are now.
As for Glastonbury, never been and never been interested in going, why would you want to sit in a freezing cold muddy field with a load of f#ckwits? Football away days, that’s where it’s at, at least it used to be! |

Don’t know why you keep getting yourself worked up Pat? If you haven’t worked out the dynamics of this site by now, you never will! Nick is the main beneficiary of this site, the more traffic the more he makes, this is a well known fact. So for anyone that has followed Saints regularly you’d have come across Nick and his crew, you would then also know which of them post on here and which ones talk the most nonsense and which ones like a bit of a wind up! In addition there’s also a few on here that get banned but are allowed back under another log in, that again is quite clear to anyone with half a brain! Now, the cynic in me says that Nick knows exactly who these people are, I know for a fact he certainly knows some of them as they travel to away games with him! Others on here I know a bit about who are certainly questionable. At the end of the day I remain extremely cynical, all this from Nick about this site being shut down just seems to be another way to generate traffic, as some of the nonsense most certainly comes from his mates!
It’s a shame really, as I like most have been reading The Ugly Inside since it’s inception in the late 80’s and indeed still have the first and many of the early copies. Even a quite a few years back it was still worth reading, nowadays?
The destiny of this site is entirely in Nicks hands, but what is most important to him, continued bullshit hits or longevity? Does Support actually exist or just another made up character to generate traffic?

Who knows, perhaps! Would like to think that everyone involved has learnt from the last couple of seasons and are trying to get it right, as I said so far so good.
Don’t know anything about this Marriott guy, is he any good? Surely we need someone that can stay fit, is proven at a high level and can score! |

Have to say, so far credit where it’s due. Saints seem to be addressing the areas where we have fallen short over the last couple of seasons, with the new CB looking like he’s signed and Carrillo shipped out, you'd think that next up will be a forward. I’ve seen Ings being linked, decent player but terrible injury record, do we really want another player like that? |

How does it stop a plastic getting a ticket? If you have only had to have gone to a game since the start of last season it's not exactly difficult for any plastic fan to register and go to a one off game withe their mates, this then allows them to get tickets for the bigger games!
My point is, why is historical attendance not being used as a marker of loyalty? As I said I used to be a season ticket holder, up until last season, so I'm obviously on the data base, but that isn't going to guarantee anything. As I said before, I fail to see how it is a fair system if they are only taking into account last season and the current season! |

Sounds a load of nonsense to me, does being a Saints fan only start from last season?
What about all the years of being a season ticket holder and going to numerous away games? Is that now all forgotten? I no longer go because I have moved out of the area, but will be back over the Christmas period and will be wanting to go, not just because it's one of the big clubs, but because I am a Saints fan and will watch us play whoever! What happened to the points we were being awarded for games attended, including those before last season, are they no longer valid?
Doesn't seem fair to me in the slightest! |

You never know, this could be just the appointment Nick has been waiting for. Realistic plan, stay in the Prem, achievable plan, stay in the Prem!!!! You do make me laugh mush, almost everything Cortese done you had a problem with, now he's gone anyone coming in looks good, where have the Devil and his Advocate gone???? Be careful what you wish for is all I say, League 1 to the Prem in 3 years isn't to ropey!!!
Please don't respond with all this advertising, corporate, attendance none argument, the World has changed a lot since 2008, a whole year before the Liebherr's and Cortese, I personally know of a few local businesses that dropped out of all of the corporate stuff long before 2009, simply because they couldn't justify it and some because they thought the club was taking the p*ss with their pricing, all before Cortese!!!! Perhaps there wasn't the appetite for it anymore??????
Anyway, personally I think Cortese was good for SFC, but I have no agenda, so what could I possibly know that is relevant????? |
