Thread | What a slow transfer window?

After being told that nothing happens prior to 1st July/bonus day, nothing has really happened since, one in and other than a possible interest in a right back (even though we have 3) and a very vague possibility of Stewart coming back, absolutely nothing on th "in" front? Also, not a lot on the "outs"either, Shea had some interest which has evaporated but nothing on a number who have to leave, Rambo & Gavin, and no rumours on our stars, THB, Leo & Casper which hopefully is a good sign they might stay. When does the window shut (1st September?) because we don't want to be losing our Manager (thanks to the FA) and our better players after the season starts? |

From Adam Blackmore's interview with Dragon (well worth a listen) the "mistake" was that we had the option to extend for an extra year but this needed to be done within 5 days of our last game of the season. So with our Wembley game cancelled we exceeded the 5 days and his agent/lawyer said "no can do", we can only assume we were keeping our options open as to what league we would be in given the wage costs versus injury record and could he cut it in the Premier League? So to be fair I think the blame here is with the EFL rather than SR? |

One of the reasons last year was he wanted to be on the plane to the USA which he obviously isn't given his lack of game time, so he may have a big personal decision to make, do I want to actually play football and get paid less? |

Matt, after reading the judgement it is obvious that we were trying to find out if the championship player of the season was fit, there is no way our spying happened on just these 3 occasions. The sporting sanction now makes sense as the EFL don't want this repeated in future play-offs. The only question I can see is how high up it went as it sounds like Tonda down all knew about it so that's all our first team coaches, anylists and the assistant manager, was Spors and Parsons privy to this practice? |

Hi Matt, well if this is true it needs to get out into the regular media and just not on here, the Middlesbrough CFO on the EFL panel and an associate of Middlesbrough on the "independent" panel, i don't know how you would do that but I'm sure someone will? |

The stupid thing is is that spygate wound Middlesbrough up so much for the first leg they should of won easily, without spygate I think we would of easily won both legs, so spygate helped Middlesbrough but they just weren't good enough. |

Sorry Matt, love reading your posts but there is no way we will walk promotion next season with West Spam or Spuds, Wolves and Burnley coming down, those 3 will get promotion, the money will talk. |
