As of now the stats are 66% no and 34% yes so ironically that matches our possession style so no confidence in us "fighting" to get up, still don't think RM has a clue what his best team is and which of the fringe players are worth while as he's still giving them chance after chance yet all around him can see they are not up to it? Also, if we do get to Wembley the bigger pitch will tire us even earlier than our norm! |

I think it goes back further to Jack Walker and Blackburn, then Sky and then the PL when gate receipts were no longer split 50/50, then Bosman came along and gave the players power, all about money these days! |

After the final whistle on Saturday he could of not looked happier when RM greeted him, I thought that said a lot about him enjoying his football and winning, the same can be said about the whole team, they are all playing for each other and RM and are enjoying it, that's how I saw it? |

According to my blues mate there were minimum performance targets set in his Contract so they were not liable to pay him when he failed? |

Completely agree, sorry Nick I was there to buy your first ever "hard" copy of the TUI at the Dell and I have to sadly admit I gave my season ticket up 5 years ago after 30 odd years. Really enjoyed division 1 (football at 3pm on Saturdays) and the journey through the championship, loads of memories, remember exiting the Emerites and speaking to gunners fans thinking we were down on our return but the top flight has changed from the 80/90's and after the Van Dick episode I decided I would not renew our 3 season tickets as the PL is all about money and that's all it is money, not helped that we traveled 1.5 hours minimum each way so though hard I came to the conclusion it was not worth the pain for the very very little adrenaline rush you get and then now you add in VAR, what a ridiculous, stop the excitement, who knows what will be decided situation that is?
As for Liverpool, I grew up in Salisbury, I am roughly the same age as you Nick at 54, in my class I supported Saints as my dad took me, one boy supported the then great Nottingham Forest, everybody else supported Liverpool (as they won everything then), nobody else had ever watched "live" football, every party/disco seemed to end with "your never walk alone" playing, I was fed up even at that age of them. Then came the awful events of the Saturday I was at West Ham where we won and more or less survived in division 1 and all the years of blame between Liverpool fans, the Police and the Government, we then have Hysle and we suffer as a club being banned from Europe, Mr Rodgers then takes half our team and then our best centre back is injured but "tapped" up and goes there! Sorry but I admit to hating Liverpool and all they stand for. As my record will show I no longer post, I read, but your defence of Liverpool is so ridiculous I felt I had to reply to you, I love your optimism and hope for our club but I would say football as we kne w it is "dead", sorry! |

Has JWP improved? I will him on hoping every game but he looks like a rabbit in the head lights and looks for the side ways or backwards pass 9 out of 10 times, I just can't see it? |

Simple "ENTERTAINMENT" and as being old a strange word for today''s football "LOYALTY" if you honestly think we had a good season I am flabbergasted, I rearlise on here that there appears to be set groups of people who just have a go at each other, well I left my house today at 12 noon and got home at 7.30pm thanks to the M3 being closed at J3 and in my opinion I made a lot more effort than most of our 14 today earning a lot more in a week than I do in a year and if your interested, though I suspect not from reading your posts, I have been "following football" and supporting my club for 45 years with a season ticket through out the Lowe days, the div 3 days and still today. Some of you on here are so up your selfs it's unbelievable! |

Of course we achieved something, we just beat the mighty Sunderland & Crystal Palace both involved in a relegation battle, a second choice Arsenal who were not interested in this competition and then got lucky as Liverpool were on a bad run and missing Mane to the African Nations so couldn't buy a goal, sounds a bit like our home form over the last 4 games. Something did go wrong in the final as we were actually the better team and deserved to win against a mega money Man U team and a manager who wants to win every competition he enters! |

Just in case you will be driving to London, the M3 closed junction 2 to 3 all weekend, even last night with less traffic it took over 2 hours with it closing from junction 6 to 7 and then 4 onwards. |

Though I'm a fan of his when he's motivated and played in the right position you have to ask how can he go to the press complaining that he's always subbed and now he appears un-sub able regardless of how he's playing, what message is this coming from our manager to the rest of the team and us fans? |

Nick, sorry mate you've lost the plot if you do truly believe we have had a good transfer window??? We have got rid of our first choice CH and replaced him with NOTHING??? Deluded to the extreme??? Oh but we got a striker after getting rid of TWO in the summer??? Absolute joke just like Saturday's team selection??? Oh we got a goalie on loan.......WOW!!! Nick I am so angry regardless of its our first major final in so many years, it bugs me you dismiss the JPT, my best day out in years!!! From the days you hit national news because your fanzine carried the headline of hoping the manager was "dead" or words to that effect regarding Mr Branfoot you have changed over the last year or so. Regardless of the Wembley appearance I don't know if I will renew my season tickets, now to clarify this I've had them since all seater at the Dell and bought a 2 year one's while St Mary's was being built, I AM NOT A GLORY HUNTING FAN, it actually hurts me that I am feeling this way but!!! Regardless of what anybody says tonight a certain Mr L Reed said, regardless of whatever else has been said by any party, "we will only sell Fonte when we have a replacement and in the clubs best interests"??? So 10.59pm and what CH's are going to arrive, considering we needed one before Fonte left, so that's 2 short??? |

Can I just ask those who feel this team selection should have been expected and players need to be rested and can't play all these games or any other excuse for putting out such a bad team, why oh why at how other many the Arse were winning by at the time did they bring on Snanchez (sorry Leslie I've probably spelt that wrong), the risk of him bing tired, getting injured, no he obviously wanted to play and did? |

I felt sorry for Bournemouth's fans when E Howe made a complete team change, after seeing Liverpool go out we had a chance, knowing Arsenal "B" would play tonight to say goodbye to 2 of the top 6, Poch does not take this completion seriously, a draw of getting 2 together and this could of been a great chance for (another) cup final? Sorry to all those who can only look at the positives but to me this looks like a great opportunity wasted, we are mid table in the league barring a miracle getting into the top 6 or getting relegated, so why not go all out for both cups? Where the hell did Isgrove's inclusion come from, how can a goalie not play 2 games a week? We need a new centre back partnership, brilliant on Wednesday, give them game time together tonight to "connect/plat together", how many games has Cedric played, it can't be that many that he's that tired? No I'm sorry this was an embarassment after such a high on Wednesday, at least Klopp will take all the heat off us on a national stage! |

I thought that if the winners of the league cup qualified for Europe by another means the place went to the Premier league not the losers, unlike the FA Cup? |
