I never missed one on feck all a week.

Edit. Although I did once take a goal kick and meant to pass to the full back, sliced it and scored in my own net. Luckily the ref knew the rules and gave a corner.

You have a point which I agree with. But I'm not on 50k a week to do so. I'm not slagging Green off, merely disappointed with the result.

You are missing the point. Doesn't matter where it ends up, as long as it's beyond your own defenders.

Tell you what. Meet me any time and I guarantee, give me 100 kicks from my hands and if I don't clear every one over the halfway line I will give £500 to a charity of your choice. Even now that I'm 56 years old. Over to you.

Not sure about that Toast. Parkes and Seaman? Not too shabby on their day.

Agree. All he has to do is kick the ball. Don't slice it, hold the ball in front of you and kick through it straight as you can. Simple. And being an ex keeper of a good standard, it's that easy. It's the rest of a keepers actions that are tough. Kicking isn't one of them.

App for streaming sport
at 00:22 10 Apr 2015

I'm sure some of you already have the App but if you don't I can recommend it. Great for streaming worldwide TV including sport etc. I've watched the last two away games via various channels in HD with no interference. Currently watching The Masters via ESPN as I don't have Sky (Sky not available on the App). Gets the horse racing channels too if you like a punt. Works very well on iPhone and iPad but can't comment on other phones.

Live Media Player is the App (blue with sound symbol) if you wish to get it. It's free and easy to use. Just use the search menu on top right of screen, type in the channel and away you go.

Just find out which channel is showing the game (there are usually several) and that's it.

Enjoy

Turnstiles
at 16:24 8 Apr 2015

Turnstiles are closed up to 30mins after the start dependant on which stand you are in, but if there is a problem there is always someone on the gate, but they dont have the electronic readers.

Suggest daughter feigns some injury midway through the second half of her game.

Where are they now???

The Aussie (Colin Hindmarsh), proper entertainer. Various clips on You Tube if you fancy a trip down memory lane. Sadly passed away in 1994.

The following tribute is from 'The Stage' magazine (January 1995);

"The Aussie entertainer died last year after a short illness in London. 'Alive with Colin Hindmarsh' so said the calling card. And alive you came when he was on stage, or else. No long faces or he was likely to tell you to get down to the pub down the street or squirt you with his water pistol. Born in Weston, a small coal mining town near Newcastle, New South Wales, Colin landed on these shores in 1960 after a successful start to his career in Australia.

It was not long before he became a big hit on the English pub scene. He revelled in audience participation. He sang and played music from the twenties, thirties, forties, fifties and sixties with great accomplishment, even throwing in bits of the classics for good measure.

His audience knew all the music he played and they raised the roof singing and dancing to his bidding. The testimony to his great popularity was his 27 years at the Rising Sun in Sudbury Hill (Pub Entertainer of the year 1978) alternating with his 28 years with the cruise company P&O. So popular was he with the passengers on the Canberra that many booked especially for the cruises he worked on."

Whilst digressing slightly from the topic, I had to endure some of The Voice last night. What the feck was that woman, I assume a woman anyway, that sang a whole song with her face covered in what can only be described as Dougal from the Magic Roundabout on her head?

Saturday night entertainment don't ya know.

Not aware of them in Europe, only the US. Even though they are armed to the teeth I wouldn't fancy being up there if a shoot out takes place.

Lets keep the memories rolling on. Note the state of the pitch as the rounds progressed, as mentioned previously.

Edit. Apologies, second clip didn't load, iPad playing up.

The majority of long haul flights from the US have a minimum of 2, normally 3, fully armed Air Marshals sitting amongst the public in all areas.

They are trained on cockpit entry and watch for movements in and out. Realistically though, they are there for any nutter that may fancy his chances.

Was at that game and could only recall the open goal miss by them, so many thanks for digging this out. Didn't we win the away leg 7-0?

Seriously falling out of love with football

I can only feel sympathy with the OP. I went to watch Barnet today courtesy of a freebie from Lee Cook. Have to say, really nice set up, modern facilities, great stadium for that level with space to add to the already tidy facilities.

Good result, 5-0 Barnet, players in bar afterwards etc.

Right full back for Barnet Yiadom looks a very promising prospect. Quick, gets forward and skilful.

Lee played well but well within himself.
