It’s optimistic but still realistic hence it’s a 33/1 shot. To be in the mix at all at this point is an achievement. The dream may be dead in a couple of weeks or it may suddenly be more of a 10% chance than 3%.
The goal difference probably means we need 70 points. I’ve seen worse 33/1 shots. |

Nobody appears to know. I’ve seen it listed on the club site and elsewhere at 3 but they changed it in late March last season which is insane.
Chances are it gets moved but why it can’t be announced months in advance is anyone’s guess. Just total contempt for supporters. |

I don’t doubt the guy has ability. Just think he’s physically weak and too many of our goals come down his side and often not getting tight enough to his opponent. Don’t hate the bloke, just an opinion.
It was a good ball for Edwards and a good ball across on Tuesday. A few more like those and more than a few less like the majority of his corners and we’re rolling. |

Before yesterday with 14 to go I was thinking exactly two points per game is probably the minimum to sneak in. So 25 from 13 now. Optimistic in the extreme but plausible and relies on some huge performances in March.
Chances are we lose at Pompey and end up something like eight points off but it’s nice to dream. |

I assume they only shaded the possession due to us taking the collective foot off the gas at 4-0. Felt like we were pretty much camped in their half from half-time until a few minutes after Edwards’ goal.
They were abysmal and who knows what happens if that deflected shot goes against us but I really felt like we had another gear or two in us had we needed it. They had very little apart from winning soft free kicks and lumping it into the box. |

I don’t see why there’d be any reason behind it. I don’t particularly rate the bloke. He had a decent game today overall. I still think he’s a weak defensive link a decent wide player will often expose.
Don’t really get the OP. Yeah it wasn’t great until the first goal but from then until the final ten minutes with the game won it was basically all Rangers. |

He had a purple patch IIRC but I’m not sure he was that popular in the real world of football matches rather than online. Could be remembering it wrong. |

As much as our midfielders have their individual faults I think it demonstrates the progress the club has made when it’s not long ago he was mostly stinking the place out with us. |

I guess people could have (and probably did) made the same arguments about Hill/Derry/Tommy Smith and other regulars from that squad. I get what you’re saying but I think a team like ours bringing in supposed better players comes with its own risks and challenges, amply demonstrated by the carnage early in the season with Dembele showing flashes of very good play but overall not a lot, Madsen doing Madsen things etc. |

Pre-season I wanted to be in the playoff hunt but realistically needing a great run to get there which is where we are so all good. An unconventional route to get to where we are now but the points tally is fine. Unspectacular but fine.
Need two points per game from here to sneak in and even that would be a maybe. Not realistically happening but the dream is alive and very alive if we can win these next two and go into the March death run with some confidence. |

I love Smyth. I am the president of the Paul Smyth fan club. Don’t have a strong opinion on the long throws (fairly sure Cook throws it further but obviously of more use in the box and even Bennie hurled in a couple somewhere) but just came here to reiterate my devotion to Paul Smyth no matter how many options available that suit the football hipsters more. Smyth will overcome them all. |

Me neither but it’s common now- I assume we do the same thing.
For the home club I guess it gives them a clear idea of numbers for stewarding and catering. Also means they know exactly who has booked tickets should anything untoward occur. All a bit of an unnecessary faff for a game somebody could in theory finish work at five and decide they fancy it and get up there but making things easy for football supporters will never catch on. |
