Sunrise, sunset – Report
at 22:09 1 Mar 2026

First time I'd heard booing during the game in a long long time, though I don't think it's aimed at the coach. The ironic cheers on 65 minutes, I think, when Morgan finally made a crunching tackle summed it up.

I like JS and think it would be a backwards step, yet again, if he was to leave at the end of the season. Just give the bloke the tools, namely fit players, to do his job, and he might just move us up the table.

It definitely wasn't a back 3 first half, unless you are counting Varane as a CB as he was so deep.

Maybe Esquadinha assumed Varane could make a pass with his left foot and under a little pressure.

Poor from Varane, and cowardly having a pop at him. Look at yourself first and ask did I do the best I could. If yes, then you can blame others. Varane is a poor footballer.

Finally, someone has said this about JD. He's the captain, the guy you turn to when things are going wrong, and he doesn't seem to want to lead.

How can the captain allow Varane to start having a pop at Esquadinha? I've never seen Dunne pull the team together post conceding and get them to refocus.

I'll not have a go at the youngsters, but some of these senior players should be charged with dereliction of duty. Dunne, Varane, Hayden, Saito, Smyth - none want to lead. It's just an arms out wide looking at everyone else to blame.

If the older players are not leading, then what are they actually contributing?

Positive takes from the day only THREAD
at 04:13 1 Mar 2026

The weather was nice, so I had a pleasant walk from Hammersmith to the ground.
When I got home the missus had a couple of beers chilled in the fridge ready.

Zero positives from the game though.

Our ‘goal’ today….why was it disallowed?
at 18:45 28 Feb 2026

I was right behind the goal in Upper Loft. Smyth standing in an offside position in front of the GK.

Probably right decision. Linesman flagged it straight away.

Something is fundamental wrong with Rangers!
at 17:09 28 Feb 2026

The injuries have killed us. Players who should be on the bench now starting. Lack of pace again. No Madsen.
Those out of form can't be dropped. Started with three 19yos today. Lack of leadership from senior players.

Get to 50 points and we can all have the summer off.

I'm right behind the goal. Paul Smyth standing in front of the GK in an offside position.

Probably the correct decision.

I'm staggered at how deep we are, at home.

There is zero out ball as Varane is almost a CB. Saito, well, talk about leaving your young LB out to dry.

For the first time, in a long time, I've heard booing during the game. I feel for JS, with the injuries, but some senior players need to take a long hard look at themselves.

So, so deep. Varane is almost playing as a CB. Morgan on his own in CM.

If they don't go up this season then next season is the last parachute payment. A future WBA in the making

You can only sell the hotels and women's team once. Training ground next ?

Unsurprisingly they have sold 9 players to Strasbourg this season alone, who also lost £70m last season. So between them they've lost £425m in one season.

And here we are hoping we sell a player for £10m in the summer. Ffs.

Ben Williams and his team
at 18:05 26 Feb 2026

There are an awful lot of posty things of Ben Williams with a big X covering his face. Even the youngsters have realised there is a serious problem.

The worst thing is my son said 'I hope this team isn't the 'What if' team. All stay fit and we'd of been right in the mix.

Constant Calls for Changing Managers ad Infinitum
at 16:28 25 Feb 2026

How, exactly, would you set the team up minus 5 or 6 attacking players?

It's very easy for people on here to criticise and say JS is rubbish, but I have yet to read a single suggestion from anyone as to how he should be doing better. And I'd love anybody on here to name a single coach who is better, available and wants to join us.

I imagine the list will be extremely short.

To build lasting success you have to back the manager, give him the tools and time to do the job. With the injury crisis the club are not giving JS the tools. I hope they get it sorted for next season and then give him the time. I like JS.
Stop the stupid injuries and this is a top 6 side with a couple of CMs.

Change the coach, start again, rinse and repeat. You get nowhere. It's what this club has done for 30 years, the cycle has to be broken.

As for Warnock, he left no lasting legacy and Warburton underachieved with the team at his disposal.

Perhaps Will Steal had something to do with where they are in the league. They are top 4 on current form under the new manager.

That is a separate question, and agree something is clearly wrong, to those coming on here and slagging off the coach and players yet again. Some of the comments are staggering when we consider how young and inexperienced this squad is.

It wasn't a good 2nd half, but those players would have learnt more from that than DS football or winning 5-0.

What I don't get is that some on here want the club to be better and financially stable, but go completely nuts when these sort of results happen, which is inevitable. Calm the f@ck down as it WILL happen again.
