Saints V Tranmere The Verdict
at 17:18:34

good point about £7.50 tickets Nick, although I suppose it would cost you a bit more if you had to pick them up on the day that's probably pretty close to what you can get intoa game in Germany for?

Of course they also have terraces there which helps but,I think that was pretty good value for money.

Anyway, I think cheaper tickets are a very positive move personally, mind you I don't think anybody was attracted to watching a bunch of Tranny's?

in which case I suspect it was because it was bloody nice weather and many people felt they had better things to do, although personally speaking I love watching football in the sunshine, beats freezing to death whilst watching it that's for sure...

if you really want to know where the fans were you only have to look at ticket prices, in most places in the world the cheaper your seats the more crowds you get (Wigan is the obvious exception that proves the rule).

As for midfield, yes Chaplow was good but he certainly wasn't as much of the man of the match this particular article seems to suggest. Also, Hammond has been awesome in the last couple of games, he is getting back to what he was last year. His breakup play in midfield completely ruined Bournemouth's game last week and his neat short passing, excellent through balls and very good midfield anchorman play yesterday totally scuppered tranny (although they were by far the worst team we've seen this year).

I agree as regards Guly, shame he's not fit enough to play more than an hour at the moment but he was pretty unplayable at this level for that opposition yesterday.
