Go to a game. Who knows, you might actually enjoy it.

Thoroughly enjoyed that.

Woeful defending, some very promising attacking.

But the absence of VAR meant it all happened real time. For the benefit of the fans in the stadium.

Football like it was meant to be.

So the chancellor has no influence on tax policy? OK, although if he really does have as much control of tax policy as 'he does the tides' then arguably he's not qualified to do the job.

His wife's tax affairs are her own. OK - although as the spouse of a high profile public servant charged with helping the country navigate through a cost of living / inflation crisis you'd think he might encourage her to maybe consider the optics just a little.

Anyway, it's all semantics - he's got his nose in the trough and his personal action (inaction) seems to confirm that levelling up really is just a throwaway slogan to appeal to and appease the great unwashed.

Good to clarify the point around seeking an advantage that parliament never intended.

Rishi appears to be happy to exploit a system (that he oversees and can presumably amend) which benefits the super-wealthy. Probably precisely what parliament intended.

He could have chosen to (a) not exploit the opportunity personally; and (b) take steps to close the scheme so others couldn't use it to limit their contributions to the public purse.

He didn't.

Am i finally going to get redemption?

Its them or Leeds I reckon - run in looks tough.

Fingers crossed.

"surely you can acknowledge their integrity and courage?"

Not really.

Appears MLT jumped on the Arcuri/Andrew Neil thing with a cheeky re-tweet yesterday but deleted it. Timing seemed to coincide with AN starting to posture about legal action for all.

'normal chinese citizen' - airbrushing?

i'm sure there was something about plea bargaining on a couple of corruption cases which might throw this in to doubt.

No - not at all.

But i don't see much point getting wound up by it any more.

Raging about injustices and the lack of competition is a waste of energy cos it ain't gonna change.

'Control the controllables' as a wise man once said.

It's not difficult.

if you feel the game is gone / it's corrupt / biased to the top six / theres no point...

Just stop going.

Stop crying your heart out.

Don't come on here moaning about how unfair it is. Just stop paying for sky / bt / tickets and get on with your lives. Its not going to change however much you want it to.

Based on his replies I think Jellybaby may be taking the pi55 Ian.

As for 68, not so sure.

Excellent thanks. I'm on it.

Just one thing - avoiding the BBC propaganda.

Am i still ok to tune in to breakfast time tomorrow morning?

Dan and Louise are annoying and clearly pedalling lies but i have a thing for Alexis Greene - i won't trust her weather forecasts anymore but she does help me to 'get up' in the morning.

Can you make that more applied?

Resisting any move towards totalitarianism is a bit abstract.

Tomorrow morning - what's my move?

OK - but for the vast majority of the population that ship has already sailed.

So what else should we be doing?
