 | Forum Reply | QPR give West Brom both Burrells – Report at 18:41 7 Dec 2025
A little bit on Burrell's 5 goals in 5 home games. Burrell's five goals in five consecutive home games is the first time a QPR player has achieved that since Tjaronn Chery in 2016 scoring at home to Fulham, Birmingham City, Derby County, Brentford and Middlesbrough. Before Chery the last players to score in 5 home games in a row was Charlie Austin (2014), Gary Bannister (1986 & 1984), John Gregory (1983) and Rodney Marsh (1966). To put this in perspective the likes of Les Ferdinand, Stan Bowles, Kevin Gallen, Clive Allen and Adel Taarabt never scored in more than 4 consecutive home matches. If Burrell scores against Birmingham he will be the first player to score in six home games in a row since Conway Smith achieved this in 1954. Brian Bedford and Tommy Cheetham hold the club record for this, scoring in 9 home games in a row. https://www.qprhistory.co.uk/ |

I thought first half was really dull, West Brom spent most of it wanting the game to be stopped and was quite funny that we scored in the injury time they created. Second half was a really good end to end game, we were the better side but at points in that second half West Brom were right in the game to win it let alone draw it but we kept going. I loved our intent to keep trying to score and we were rewarded with that. Love seeing QPR fan Chris Mepham again get caught playing out from the back and conceding, he seems to do that everytime we play against them although in reality it's probably only once before. Nardi had an excellent game great credit to him and thought Varane got better as the game wore on after a pretty poor start This team will go on and lose 2 or 3 in a row again but there is real progress so far this season which we shouldn't forget during the bad periods. |

He's been excellent and should have had a hat trick yesterday but his all round game is the best thing about him, he'll have a spell where the goals dry up but he'll still be able to contribute. Really good signing, credit where it's due to everyone invovled in that one |

beyond parady now, this team look so under prepeared it is ridiculous. Only bowled 76 overs in the first innings and looked dead on their feet |

even if you get the lead upto 100 it was worth sticking around for, make them work for it, as soon as Stokes went they just gave up |

Yeah not an easy one but they should get through. If they win the group playing Mexico in Mexico will be very tough |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 09:30 6 Dec 2025
The pitch is flat enough to make that happen but I wouldn't trust this England team and even if we set them a target we're going to need to bowl a hell of a lot better |

whoever we get we must make sure we rest everyone as we usually do just to make sure we are Ok for the following 25 league games |

tomorrow is the key day of the series. Australia could win the game tomorrow if they get a big lead and get us a few wickets down which they really should do. Englands only hope really is get those 4 wickets early and don't throw wickets away. My money would be on an Australia win but it's a massive day that could still go wither way |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 11:06 5 Dec 2025
yeah thats the worry that we just get bowled out cheaply but could be an exciting one this if the Aussies are chasing 250-300 in the last innings |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 10:56 5 Dec 2025
The game is still there for both sides, don;t want to give Australia a bigger lead than 50 really and need to make sure they don't have a new ball tomorrow night so quicker we get these out the better |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 10:46 5 Dec 2025
Forme Englands biggest issue was always going to be bowling Australia out, just think we have a lot of bowlers who bowl the same way, all good but no real variety and in these conditions the Aussies are very tough to beat |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 11:54 4 Dec 2025
Will have to see how the Aussies bat but this looks a good score to me for England, I'd put us slightly ahead at the moment |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 11:29 4 Dec 2025
yeah they have done well, feels like the Aussies have let us off the hook here. |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 11:15 4 Dec 2025
might prove to be a mistake, if they had gone for the wicket England out for around 260-270 instead gonna be over 300 |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 10:40 4 Dec 2025
Brilliant from Root, so pleased he's finally got that 100 |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 09:49 4 Dec 2025
Dreadful from Stokes, just bat through the session nothing stupid and England have a great chance, now look like they'll be lucky to get to 300 |
 | Forum Reply | Ashes thread at 08:11 4 Dec 2025
Harry Brook is so frustrating, has ability to get big scores but does such stupid things. Just see off Starc and we are in for a big score but he can't help himself |
