When I first started watching non-league football in the late 70s the programme was just a two sided printed sheet but it did have the starting lineup which was the main point of getting it.
The hatred is a relatively new thing stemming from the 60s/70s.
Before this it didn't really exist. My great grandparents had season tickets at both The Dell and Fratton Park between the wars so they could watch football every weekend.
We've struggled for keepers for decades now. After Niemi the only decent one I can think of was Boruc. Lurch was good for one season but abject for the rest of his time here.
Laughable that anyone can have Adkins top 3. He was a Championship (at best) level manager so any of our PL managers who didn't get us relegated would have to be rated above him.
