Ralph preparing the fans for Ings' departure?
at 13:35 20 Jan 2021

Why does most supposedly ITK football journalism/transfer rumour websites look more like a second year Solent University sports journalist students coursework. Absolute sh1te.

Same goes for the whoppers on SSN transfer round up. A load of nerds who’ve played football manager and think they know everything.

Danny Ings again

Where will he go?

Nick is spot on, no one has the money that Ings is worth. He’s almost played himself out of the market at this time.

City - don’t need him
United - don’t need him
Spurs - skint
Chelsea - Lampard won’t get another penny to spend
Arsenal - possibly want him but CL
Leicester -possibly but would he want to go there. CL I don’t think so.
Everton - I would love him, but it’s not my money and Ancelotti has gone on record to say he won’t buy from premier league clubs due to value for money
Liverpool - Salah looks like he could be on his way out and Ings is better than Firmino.

But would a Saints player want to go there!!!

Have you just cut and paste that from his job description at Liverpool?

There was a discussion on Ings last night on Five Live with Glenn Murray (who comes across quite well to be fair).

They went through the challenging sides and where Ings could end up. They went through every in in the top ten before think they kind of talked themselves into agreeing that he’s at a challenging club and he’s better off at Saints.

I think that says more about Chelsea than Leicester. Leicester were fairly meek against Everton a couple of weeks ago, but ago they do have a few players who are snides and manage that side of the game well (it’s horrible like but the better teams do).

Chelsea could do a lot worse than replace Lampard with Rodgers and I’m sure they will (do worse that is).

I read that Mark Hughes announced himself as ready to make a return to management last week.

Defo a Mike Ashley/Newcastle manager Hughes.

They’ve had a nice run of fixtures, I can see Saints being all over them to be fair.

I’d love Klopp to ask Guardiola for a lend of the trophy after city win it and the shite have their rearranged open top bus parade.

And for Guardiola to tell him where to go.

Or any other manager for that matter, I’m not fussy.

Thank god the pubs are closed. I had the misfortune of going the pub a few years when the Unclassico was on. Place was packed with top bantz, plenty of We/Our/Your in reference to the teams from cities that none of the whoppers has ever visited.

I think the next few weeks are going to be silly if they don’t have a break with football for a few weeks. I appreciate that certain teams don’t want that, ironically those in the CL with the big squads. But it’s not going to be a fair competition if teams are having big players ruled out.

There is definitely a cycle of deprivation in this country that has been going on for the past couple of generations, neither side of the political parties have ever been honest or brave enough to discuss it. Both are too scared of the damage it might do to their votes so they carry on enabling it.

The welfare state has to be completely reformed. There are families that haven’t seen employment for generations and see benefits as an entitlement rather than the safety net and point of need that it was established to be.

However, I would say they are minority rather than the majority.

The child benefit is there to pay for the welfare of the child, to feed, to clothe, to heat, to wash. That would include the water bill, the gas, the electric bill etc. All of which go up each year much higher than wages and benefits. Sometimes there just isn’t enough money to go around even for those who don’t have a feckless lifestyle.

These people? Again a massive sweeping statement literally pigeon holing hundreds of thousands, potentially millions of people. The myth perpetuated that those struggling financially have flat screens, Xbox’s s etc is laughable.

I’m not denying that there are feckless parents, there was when I was growing up thirty years ago, mates parents who spent all day in the boozer whilst their kids went without. It wasn’t the kids fault.

Child benefit is what, 21 quid a week, so about 80 quid a month. That wouldn’t even pay for the water bill.

People are struggling financially and it’s only going to get worse. People deserve compassion ans support, not judgement.

£5 a week to feed a child? So what’s that about 80p a day? Sound.
