This is his first visit to Spotland since October 2008 when he was in the middle for our 2-0 defeat by Dagenham. This was only Mr Webb’s fifth game at league level after earning promotion for the start of that season. David’s most recent Dale game was last April when he oversaw our 2-1 loss at Hereford. His last Brighton match their 2-0 win at Oldham just over a year ago. This season Mr Webb has refereed 25 games, showing 78 yellow cards and four red. His last fixture was Ipswich v Scunthorpe a fortnight ago, while notable games he has refereed include Leeds v Portsmouth and Hull v Leicester over the Christmas and New Year period.
