The TV schedules are out and Southampton have a change to one of the three games that will be played over the Christmas & New Year period when football returns after the break for the World Cup.

The good news is that the first two fixtures will not be changed, the home game on Boxing Day against Brighton at St Mary’s remains a 3pm kick off and will be screened live on Amazon Prime.

Likewise there is not change for the trip to Fulham on New Year's eve, that will too be a 3pm kick off, although I'm sure many would have preferred it be changed to 1pm so they could get back early for the celebrations later that night,

The one change for Saints is the game scheduled for 2nd January against Nottingham Forest, that will now be played the following evening Wednesday 3rd with a 7.30pm kick off and presumably that will also be live on one of the TV Channels.

That will of course give Saints that extra day of rest rather than playing only two days after the Fulham game.
