Strange game. Probably a draw would have been a fair reflection. Poor penalty decision. God knows what happened with the second goal. We didn't trouble their keeper enough second half but not sure how we lost that.

You could tell the Ref was only on his 2nd game clueless for most of the match, Forster in no man’s land for the second goal.We played quite well over all, between there diving at the slightest touch especially Prudence such a weasel.
Overall we put in a decent performance just didn’t get the rub of the green. COYR.

Disappointed result, at least we got back into it and went for it at the end. Priority now should be a keeper, today showed why Frazier should only be a back up, his has good moments but too indecisive at times, yes he was at fault for the 2nd goal but why are our defenders so slow to react, not just today but have seen it for the past few years.

JWP goal of the season contender.

Coady scored his first league goal at Molineux and Traore first premier league goal, of course against us.

Bah humbug! Had us down for a score draw today - and in truth we might have got that if we had snagged a goal from our early pressure. Facing very good opponents today and a major step up defensively to what we saw in Brentford. Broja was neutralized and Redmond et al. didn't step up enough so we did not have that cutting edge. Romeu and JWP (what a goal!) were good today and Perraud was lively. We were a bit unlucky with their penalty, but Tella had been caught dithering on the ball just before that incident (hope KWP is back for the next game). Forster was shocking for the second goal and that put us into a hole just too deep to get out of. Ah well, on to City - we have tied them once this season so who knows??

Tella hopeless as RB. Diallo out of position as well. Redmond had his worst game ever in a Saints shirt completely invisible but favoured by Ralph so stayed on. Armstrong brought on did nowt except for run across the pitch a few times. Che brought on but did nowt. AA brought on did nowt. Horribly painful to watch as forgone conclusion given Ralph's team selection and subs.
Prowsey's free kick looked good but I suspect he meant to slot in top left hand corner and accidentally cut across the ball to the top right. Either way didn't effect the outcome.

Wolves 3 - Ralph's management 1.

Enjoyable game to watch. Particularly the first half which was end to end.

The penalty from VAR looked wrong. How can it take 20 repeats to spot a clear and obvious error. Back to the bad old days of atmosphere killing if this carries on.

JWP scored a stonker of a free kick. 30 yards out to go up to second in the free kick table.

Saints had 2 great chances to get a result. Tella, one that looked harder to miss than to score and Perraud thumping one against the crossbar that could have levelled it.

Wolves matched us up and indulged in plenty of shIthousery. Worked hard for their win though.

We lost but I'm smiling. We almost got back in it. I hope everyone takes a lot of positives out of a good performance that just wasn't quite enough.

COYR

Well at least this game just shows that yeah Forster might get a fluke performance against Spurs, but when he’s regularly tested he messes up too much and just isn’t good enough. As McCarthys no legend, but at least he’s not on the ground before a penalties taken and makes up his mind on whether he’s coming out or not

Very unlucky today, debatable pen, Fraser was at fault for second, but was lynaco playing them on side, and their third was a breakaway goal when we were caught upfield , but it’s was one of those days when the decisions went the other way. Fantastic goal from JWP shame it didn’t count for much. But on the question of Fraser Forster he makes a mistake
Which cost us a goal, and people are on his back. to say he can’t save penalties well short memories hey didn’t he save in the penalty shootout at Sheffield, again at Chelsea, kept us in the cup at Swansea with a great save before extra time, and two point blank saves against Brentford .i cannot remember McCarthy saving a pen in a longtime, and he has faults also Notably his near post v Norwich .we need a new keeper no question of that ,because this is Forster last season with us, but McCarthy is only good enough as a back up keeper. Henderson or Johnstone would be a good choice.

No foreverred Forster didn’t save a single penalty against Chelsea, as they got 4 outta 5 and Mount skied his penalty miles over, so you could’ve had ether of us in goal for that and it couldn’t have been any worse, and how’d he keep us in the cup at Swansea? As his distribution was awful, and he gave away the ball to one of their goals.
As yeah I agree that McCarthys only good enough to be a backup keeper, and that we need a new one, but Forster isn’t better than McCarthy, as at least McCarthy can do better with the penalties and makes up his mind when deciding if he’s coming out nor not

Clear and obvious error? All four words in the sentence are simple ones. What it doesn't mean is: bloke in the VAR booth would have given it and has a stronger personality/is senior to the man on the field and therefore leans on him. The idiots in charge of the EPL need to sort VAR out. Make the officials keep to the rules - it is clear and obvious.

Having got four last time I suppose there was always a good chance we would miss our chances today. A shame because we should have got something from the game. Tella and barn doors + Forster and crosses sum up the day for me, oh, and did I mention clear and obvious errors??
