We have a proud patriotic English manager who has made it clear that he has ambition to one day lead England, we have English players who we like having around, if we had to rely on a team filigree Welsh players, we would be championship at best, English players living in Swansea could feel alienated knowing that their wives and children are likely to come up against this dislike of their race.

No it's not.
It's not the English league system, so it's not the English Premier League.
The Welsh FA set up a 'Welsh' competition, but the football league has always been made up of teams from both England and Wales. Back in the day there were 6 Welsh teams in the professional league, and many, many more in the leagues that lead up to the top 4 divisions. It was a competition under the auspices of the English FA primarily (which is why under European competition we represent the English FA (not England by the way - it's different), but we have always been subject for example, within that league, to the jurisdiction of the Welsh FA - even now it's joint by arrangement.
The Welsh FA muddied the waters in order to get Welsh representatives into the Champions League. | | | |
