At the risk of simply not understanding the modern game I'd quite like to see:

-------------------------------Smithers-------------------------------
Furlong-------------Nedum---------------Robbo------------Bids
Pav----------------Luongo-------------Scowen------------Smyth
--------------------------Freeman------------------------------------
----------------------------------Smith--------------------------------

Sylla would have suited this more than Smith but he's mangled. Could try Oteh instead maybe.

Whatever I think Hunter, you'd disagree. I suppose you'd play the pole wide who hasn't delivered for months...and never really has apart from, I think, it was Reading away.

It says it all that you think that Onuora is the such a wonderful player!! He only plays because we are so limited - he cant pass the ball properly, makes at least one major error a game and costs us goals, he aint cheap either.....but hey you rate him.

Punters eh, don't you just luv em.

Particularly the punters who can watch a player play over 200 games for their club and still get them mixed up with an ex-Swindon and Gillingham striker who retired years ago.

Punters eh, don't you just love 'em?

Bare bones.

I would like to see Smyth & Oteh up front.
With Smith the tactics are too predictable, too narrow. With Washington, not enough goals.

Hmm, rather think if our forward line was SWP and Leon Knight, we'd still be launching it like NASA up to them. Whereupon half the Rfosi would be pulling their hair out at the tactic, while the other half will be apoplectic with rage that our boys are not ruffling the feathers of t'Barnsley equivalents of Micky Droy and Per Mertesacker at the back.

Smith will start (as Ollie sees him as a defensive lynch-pin at the back for set pieces) and will be blowing out his 'arris after an hour. Who our Adonis of Attack will be paired with is anyone's guess; and I wouldn't rule out it being Ingram either.

But there's more to it than that shirley Dave?

Having a fast young nutter in front of him allows Bidwell to concentrate on the defensive things that he's reasonably good at.

Having Furlong behind Pav may cause Pav to venture toward the byline a bit more often.

Multiplier effect or something.

it may help the full backs out but Bidwell played as a left back for a lot of last season and didn't perform half as well as he has this season, whatever system Holloway goes with it will have flaws

It'll be the same system but he'll start Smith and Wszolek is my bet.

Smithies

Baptiste, Onuoha, Robinson

Wszolek, Bidwell

Scowemango

Smith Washington

"It'll be the same system" - no sh** Sherlock!

Out on a limb there with that prediction!!!

Perch is today's Tombola and possibly Hall too. Outside bet is Osayi-Samuel to start and Chay Tilt on the bench....

Can we go out yet?
