Who do you fancy on loan then? on 16:19 - Aug 10 with 2689 views | cyprusmel | Peter Crouch, does not start many matches these days for Stoke, short term deal would be good. Still fit and rarely injured. He may do a deal on wages just to play regularly, in my opinion a shade better than Mr Martin and a QPR fan to boot.
Who do you fancy on loan then? on 16:25 - Aug 10 with 2665 views | Myke | If anyone seriously thinks we can afford the wages of Danny Simpson, Tammy Abraham or Peter Crouch then they have not being following the FFP debate very closely. People more likely in our price range who could (possibly) do a short-term job for us are the likes of Martin, Keogh, Crainie

Who do you fancy on loan then? on 12:44 - Aug 10 by paulparker | I thought our DOF said that loaning players was dead money and that we would rather blood our own youngsters ? |
Well yes, but that was before we discovered we couldn’t compete in the transfer market. Now, totally different story. Two, possibly three astute loans to fill the gaps and bring some experience to our ranks should get us over the hump.

Holds the ball up better than Smith which can, in theory, bring our other attacking players into the game. If he does come, hope he is up for it and has been on a diet.

Who do you fancy on loan then? on 22:17 - Aug 10 with 2176 views | 08olesen | Wells would be a brilliant signing. He is a much better version of Washington and always seems to score against us. Kaputska from Leicester looks decent and not going to get a kick there. Jonny Williams at Palace Danny Simpson would be good but i reckon wages may be an issue there.

Who do you fancy on loan then? on 13:00 - Aug 10 by paulparker | who said anything about overpaying for players ? if we loan players in we are most likely having to pay a fee and wages , which is dead money something our DOF was against |
I just don't get what you are suggesting as an alternative. No doubt the club would have preferred to bring in players but FFP prevented it. So we just have to take our medicine on this whether we like it or not. We all know we are short of an effective striker in terms of ball retention and at the back. Are you saying we shouldn't try to strengthen via the loan market just because this wasn't option 1? We're a young squad in terms of match experience so whilst we are trying to bed in youth payers a bit of short-term reinforcement can't hurt. Depends on the quality of the loans and their attitude. The days on loanees taking a Leon Knight attitude seem to be over. They need this for their careers as much as we need the reinforcement. So you rely on the scouting network. I get you are angry at the missed opportunity we had. I think we all are on that count. The reality is though either we accept what has been and move forward or just rake up the past but offer no solution. Alternatively, you should suggest how the club should be run given the realities of FFP.

I have been following the FFP, what I said re Peter Crouch was that he may do a deal on wages to play regular football. I doubt that he is only playing football for money at this stage. He is a QPR fan and might want to help.

Dad's Army seem to be doing well down on the south coast. AFC Bournemouth 2 - 0 Cardiff City Fraser (24' minutes), Wilson (90'+1 minutes)
