It is indeed an impressive place, spell.
Only been to Lords once, but it was an unforgettable day as the guest of the MCC.
Young spud, whilst still at school, was to receive a cricket achievement award from them and was invited to an England game a few years ago.
We breakfasted in the restaurant with a member of the MCC prior to the game, then given food hamper baskets each for lunchtime.
At the break young spud went on the pitch to receive his award in front of 30,000 spectators, with his name on the scoreboard, then went to the meet the England players in the changing rooms and a tour of the Long room.
The MCC forwarded us photos of the day, and invited him to play for them in the future.
A day to remember...
