Ralph wants up to three more players on 21:48 - Sep 24 with 1347 views | Saintsforeverj | If we don't get then in, he has an excuse for poor results (rightly so imo) and he is also putting the pressure on the club to make it happen (rightly so).

Ralph wants up to three more players on 22:39 - Sep 24 with 1267 views | 1ASIN12 | Unfortunately I think the last paragraph is telling and we might get one player in on loan “Either way I think we know we need a few, one or two players minimum we must get, maybe three”
Ralph wants up to three more players on 07:12 - Sep 25 with 1116 views | MattFinish | I can see him walking. God knows how he got this squad playing so well for the second half of last season. His problem is to compete most of our players need to be at 100% and that can't happen for an entire season

Maybe the squad were playing so well for the second half of last season because they rebelled against his tactics.

This is the problem for us and all of the teams that make up the bottom half of the table. Time and again you see the clubs with deeper pockets and deeper squads grind out results when they are playing poorly. When we play poorly, even for a small percentage of a match, we usually get punished. FFP has not (surprise, surprise) levelled our the playing field. If anything it favours the rich clubs even more. We are not alone. If you listen to phone ins fans from other clubs have the same issues as us. The talent pool and finding that talent gets harder and harder for those clubs who don’t have super rich backers. The top six clubs have bench players and players who rarely get a game who would walk into most of the rest of the starting elevens elsewhere. Stupid salaries for very average players further compound the problems. We can complain all day about the way the club is run but each season it becomes harder to compete and each season it becomes more expensive to compete. The days of getting by on stumbling across a half decent first team are long gone. Now everyone at the club has to be on the top of their game from the CEO to the sports analyst to the lowliest physio, all of the time, to maintain the competitive edge. You just have to look at the way that a massive club like Manchester United have slipped back down the pecking order. One good thing to come out of the Covid-19 pandemic is that maybe the whole structure of the way the Premier league and the other leagues are run financially will be reviewed and the massive pot of money generated by televised football better spent. They could start by looking at the obscene amount spent on wages and redirect that money to where it it most needed.

Agree with every word you say. Unless something is done about this farcical situation with the top 6 buying trophies and other teams players like they are choosing sweets off a shelf , more and more people will just turn their backs on the premier league and not bother going to games.
