Wasn't that after the season opener away to Palace a couple of seasons back ? Possibly his debut ? We won 2-0 thanks to goals from Ings and Hojbjerg.
I also remember it for the mismatch of kit we were wearing - yellow shirts and black shorts or something like that. We had 3 kits manufactured for us that season, but we clearly forgot that we had to play Palace away - laughable !! |  |

I'd never really rated him when he was here but I have to admit he was very good in their draw with Liverpool at the weekend and the TV commentators singled him out for praise. He was playing in a Romeu-style role and got a hell of a lot of tackles in.

Maybe the problem for a lot of our midfielders a few years ago, was that too much was expected of them i.e. defend, break up the play and create chances.
Hojdberj is doing better now he has a clearly defensive midfield role. Likewise Romeu doesn't have to worry about being too creative with, particularly, Armstrong and now Walcott always looking to run at defenders. | |
