Trust questions to Dunphy on 12:35 - Apr 8 by James1980 | On the 19th April 3 more games will have been played with a points return of between 0 and 9 based on other teams results as well. We will know if relegation really is looking nailed on or if another great escape is on the cards. Rightly or wrongly I expect the delayed response by the club is because they are waiting to see how results go. |
Sorry, James, but results have absolutely nothing at all to do with this.

I was just saying the current boards response might be based on whether the club likely to be playing in L1 or L2 next season. If the next board meeting isn't until 3 further games have been played I could see why they are waiting until those games and subsequent board meeting has happened. Can board meetings be brought forward? If they can this next one should be

Trust questions to Dunphy on 10:37 - Apr 8 by 442Dale | This is excellent work by the Trust in keeping supporters informed of exactly what is, and isn’t happening. With no pun intended, trust the process. |
Good work by the Trust yes, and fobbed off by the club as usual So much for the boards promise to improve communications and the MOU they have in place with the trust. MOU = More Or (less) Useless?

No idea, but the meeting and questions from the Trust still have nothing to do with results.

Does the board strike you as being overly concerned about L1 or L2 status James? It's a reassuring thought that it is concerned. However it is massively undermined by the reality of the secretive contract extension to an under-performing management team. The board will become concerned when there is a lack of uptake in season tickets. As I said on a separate thread, unless there's a massive turnaround in on-field results, that is going to be a very difficult 'sell'.
Trust questions to Dunphy on 14:08 - Apr 8 with 2397 views | judd | Just how tough are these fans questions sent in via the Trust? Perhaps the Trust should make the questions public? Unless, of course, the club personnel in contact with the Trust is absolutely following correct procedure.

Trust questions to Dunphy on 08:29 - Apr 8 by TalkingSutty | Are those in the Boardroom not responsible for awarding new contracts to failing managers also? It’s not a personal witch hunt from me, I said a couple of years ago that the CEO wasn’t fit for purpose and that every decision he seemed to make was a bad one, i’ve Been very consistent with that and it started with his ‘performance’ at that stag do, at the time he was a Club Director. It’s the first time i’ve Ever had a issue with a CEO at the Club. I also said over twelve months ago that I didn’t trust anybody in the Boardroom and received pelters at the time for it but I still stick to that comment. I nailed my colours to the mast a long time ago with the CEO and he is aware that he is in the wrong job because I told him, i’ve told him a few times and he disagreed with me. There are other supporters and also the Supporters Trust who have come out publicly and even on this forum to support him, had a close working relationship with him and the board, so he does have some who see him in a good light. I think the point that you make about having stated your case clearly and in-person to the CEO is well made. It's not as though you are wittering behind his back. You are not alone in having done that. Others have done the same. He clearly (but not surprisingly) chooses to think differently and is firmly wedged into his seat and entrenched in his opinions. Rumours of a recent 'generous' pay increase will only add to his resolve to remain in post. However, this messageboard exists to remind him we are still here. And still banging the drum, equally entrenched in our own views. We have told him what we think. He knows. He is in no doubt. His decision.

Will he change his habits then and make a wise decision in the interests of Dale - to jump before he's pushed? Thank goodness, the ultimate decision may be taken out of his hands, with all the attendant caution and caveats that've been noted on this forum

I don't think the 'interests of Dale' are his utmost priority. I think that option is surpassed by the 'interests of Dave'. We shall see.

Or that there will be matters discussed at that meeting that relate to the questions and that need to be addressed internally before replying to the questions? Annoying as that may be, I can understand it, particularly if there are potentially some big decisions to be made at that meeting.

What the hell have results got to do with the governance or lack of, of the Club? They don’t need a bloody board meeting to formulate answers to questions that the fans legitimately want answering. The bloody charlatans.

I'm saying that some of the answers might change depending on which league they believe we will be in next season.

Thought experiment overthinking call it what you will. Let's assume some people are as unscrupulous as is thought by some. If on the 19th April relegation is looking even more of a certainty. I am suggesting that considering the financial implications regardless of any 'plans' incase of relegation, balancing the books will be even more difficult than in league one and therefore, a decision might be made by certain person(s) to 'step down' to allow discussions to take place with CD. However if safety is looking like it is a possibility certain individuals will want to stick around to bask in any glory of a potential great escape. However I agree there will be questions could just be answered and this stalling flies in the face of the 'we will be better at communicating'
