Nice to see him fail to prevent City's goal on the line today.

To be fair, he does a much better job as a defensive midfielder than Diallo does. Wanyama is probably the best we've had in that role in recent years though. Would it be a masterstroke to bring him back now that he is over his injury poblems, like getting Ings was? Wanyama's still only 29 and playing regularly in MLS.

Wanyama did ok in his first season at Spurs, he declined to go to Club Brugge 2 years ago and seems content to play at that level, he is only 29 at the moment but only for another 2 months.

Wanyama was a Premier League quality player 5 years ago, but due to injury and loss of form hasn't played over 21 League games in a season since his first season with Spurs.

Diallo has to be given a little more time as there is a good player in there, but he has been in and out with injury himself and then in a side that is struggling and that is difficult to show form in, he wassecond fiddle to Romeu for the first half of the season, Wanyama was not utterly convincing in his first season with Saints either.

Diallo looks like a 'panic passer' at the moment, where the ball goes straight back to the opposition.
Wanyama would be great, but they probably couldn't match his wage demands...

Being a panic passer is my point about playing in a team that is not playing well, too many of his team mates are panic passers, when he came in he looked a tidy player against Liverpool he was superb

I think the number of games and the level of responsibility has just been a bit too much for Diallo latterly. He has done OK but he's not very experienced at this level and I think the pressure has told a bit. I would like to see him rested now for a good few games.
