7 years ago, after a sleepless night, I was counting down the minutes until it was time to leave to meet some mates in Marylebone for a few nerve straighteners.
What a day.

After sampling the delights of the Armani box Orthodox_Hoop and I fortified ourselves with a bottle of strong liquor each and walked back along the Harrow Road.
Great day, made up for Cardiff.

It was pretty horrible for 89 minutes and 49 seconds and then.... POW!
I'm only 5' 7" but this very brave 6' 4" Derby fan shoulder barged me at Marylebone station after the game. I just turned around an laughed at him and shouted Zamoooorrraaaaa!
He skulked off lol!

Lucky omen before the game. I was meeting friends in a pub in before the match so I got on the overland train at Euston to Kilburn at lunchtime. Sitting along the carriage from me was the legend that is Stan Bowles, accompanied by another bloke who with hindsight I realise was probably Don Shanks.
After the match and all the celebrations in the ground, to avoid the crowds on the Jubilee Line we walked down to Alperton, got some cans at the offy and got on the Picadilly Line. Anyone else on that train? It was 99% Rangers fans, everybody singing all the way back to Hammersmith! What a day!

True story from that day, over here in the middle of the USA:
My neighbor across the street was mowing his front lawn as the match entered the 90th minute, and was halted in his tracks by my outburst: "YESSSSSSSSSSS! ZAMORAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" I'm pretty sure I had the windows closed, too, to keep his mower noise out. He whirled around and gawked in the direction of my front window, which hopefully obscured the view of what had to be a most awkward celebratory run round the living room.
I showed up to a small get-together hours later and my friends all immediately remarked how happy I looked.
