The 39 Steps Saboteur The Lady Vanishes Captain Blood Lost Horizon Beau Geste
All great films and I wish my kids would appreciate 'old' films 😃 Nothing better than flicking through the channels and stumbling across a 'Black and White' classic.

Oh yeah, must be thinking of something else 😲😲 Still a brilliant film.
OK The Train with Burt Lancaster.
The Train is brilliant - one of those films I've watched over and over again. Ace In The Hole with Kirk Douglas is a powerful film. Arty-farty New Wave French films from the early sixties are worth considering too.

and of course one of the best movies ever made. The Hustler
This is the ultimate one for me. I just watched a very curious film by the same director, called Lileth. With the lovely Jean Seberg, Warren Beatty and a brief appearance by Gene Hackman (one of his first films).
Thanks for all the suggestions so many I haven't seen.
“It’s a wonderful life.” I only wish I could get my kids to watch it but they never have done.Even though I know the story it still is an emotional watch.

To be honest, I think it's a fairly mundane film which only comes to life at the end. But it's a great ending.
